  • Key responsibilities of the position will include:

An attractive remuneration package up to $72, 000 will be offered based on skills and experience, with a base cash salary of $63, 488 plus allowances. Residing within the Shire of Collie will be highly regarded but is not essential, and a housing allowance will be offered for such.

Essential Requirements

About the OPPORTUNITY

In conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Educator and the Wheatbelt Learning & Development Team plans, implements and evaluates learning and development programs for Wheatbelt staff, based on identified priorities. Provides expert knowledge and acts as a clinical education resource person for the Wheatbelt region. This role contributes to the delivery of safe patient centred care and the consumers’ experience ensuring services and practices align with the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other recognised health standards.

To be successful in this role, you will have… 

  • Demonstrated current advanced clinical skill and application of theoretical knowledge in clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate clinical nursing education programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of continuous quality improvement and performance principles.
  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in using computer information systems.
  • In possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers licence and the ability to travel within the region as required including overnight stays

About the role

As the Visitor Services Officer, you will provide high-quality services to support the business enterprise at the popular tourist destination of Freycinet National Park with its breathtaking natural beauty and stunning white sandy beaches. Reporting to the Business Enterprise Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Visitor Centre including the park shop.
  • Providing an information service to visitors.
  • Carrying out sales, collecting and accounting for income (park entry fees, admission charges, fees, donations).
  • Balancing and reconciling the daily, weekly and monthly monies and assisting with ordering stock.

This role is permanent, working 73.5 hours per fortnight including weekends and public holidays in accordance with a roster.
