What You’ll Do

As our Financial Accountant, you will:

• Lead statutory financial reporting and monthly reconciliations
• Manage asset accounting and taxation
• Play a critical role in shaping how we manage and report on the City’s financial performance
• Navigate the complex web of local government finance with patience, precision, and agility
• Work closely across departments, supporting audits and interpreting accounting standards
• Be the go-to expert ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial matters

This role is more than ticking boxes, it’s about driving informed, responsible financial decisions that shape the future of Armadale.

About You
You’re a forward-thinking and detail-oriented finance professional who brings:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (essential)
• Financial accounting experience in local government or a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, BAS, FBT and asset processes
• Tech-savvy with an eye for data integrity
• CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
