About the role

As the Visitor Services Officer, you will provide high-quality services to support the business enterprise at the popular tourist destination of Freycinet National Park with its breathtaking natural beauty and stunning white sandy beaches. Reporting to the Business Enterprise Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Visitor Centre including the park shop.
  • Providing an information service to visitors.
  • Carrying out sales, collecting and accounting for income (park entry fees, admission charges, fees, donations).
  • Balancing and reconciling the daily, weekly and monthly monies and assisting with ordering stock.

This role is permanent, working 73.5 hours per fortnight including weekends and public holidays in accordance with a roster. 

Our ideal candidate

  • Sound retail administrative skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • A good knowledge of the natural and cultural values of Tasmania.
  • Current Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
  • Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
