The Opportunity 

Our client is Private Equity backed and has grown to be one of Australia's leading importers and distributors in their sector and are based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This is a key role within the finance function and will head up the commercial finance function of the business. 

The Challenge 

The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the CFO, with their responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Partner with stakeholders for the preparation of analysis and the development of financial forecasts
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets for the business units
  • Support the business with ad hoc financial and commercial analysis 
  • Work collaboratively to formulate financial models feeding into the strategic growth initiatives
  • Make business improvement recommendations
  • Complete month-end reporting and provide meaningful insights into the financial performance
  • Key interactions with Executive General Managers and their leadership teams across the business
  • Analysis of commercial reports across business units, including prospective new business
The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or commerce with a major in accounting/ finance and are CA/CPA qualified
  • You have minimum 2 years of commercial finance experience as a Commercial Analyst or Finance Business Partner 
  • Prior experience in a product based environment such as manufacturing/retail/wholesale 
  • High level of initiative, a forward-thinking attitude and motivated to develop your skillset by partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders in-person
  • Demonstrated commercial mindset with the ability to analyse financial information and actively support key business growth initiatives.
