Lead month-end processes, streamline reporting, and drive growth in a fast-paced retail business. Gain senior exposure, make a real impact, and grow your career.
Role Overview
As a Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of the month-end close, reconciliations, payroll journals, and both domestic and international payments. You'll manage weekly and daily financial processes, oversee the transactional team, and ensure accurate, timely reporting that supports key business decisions. This hands-on role also includes identifying process improvements and embedding scalable procedures across the trading business.
In this role, your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and growth of the business, and you'll play a key part in streamlining operations, supporting acquisitions, and building a sustainable finance platform while gaining exposure to senior leadership. Your proactive approach and ability to ask the right questions will help shape the future of the finance function and drive meaningful business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Financial Accountant with 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within retail, wholesale, or FMCG environments. You are proactive, curious, and able to work independently, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving business. Strong Excel skills are essential, with experience in Pronto or Power BI considered advantageous.
While CA/CPA qualifications are desirable, the focus is on capability and practical experience rather than formal credentials. You are confident in communicating financial information to senior leadership, able to ask the right questions, and take ownership of improving processes. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to step up when required are key to succeeding in this role, along with a genuine interest in contributing to a growing, acquisition-focused family-owned business.
Culture & Benefits
Join a well-established business where loyalty, initiative, and innovation are valued. You'll be part of a supportive, diverse finance team, working closely with senior leadership and contributing to the growth of different parts of businesses.
The culture is professional and supportive, with opportunities to shape processes, work on exciting acquisitions, and build a long-term career in a stable and forward-thinking environment.
