We are seeking a dedicated, highly organised Project Manager to oversee lift projects and ensure smooth operations from completion of sale to handover. This senior role requires interaction with multiple internal teams, engagement with external stakeholders, and managing several moving project parts simultaneously. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Coordination: Schedule and manage lift projects, ensuring seamless coordination of works and materials with the scheduling team.

• Team Management: Lead installation teams, ensuring optimum efficiency while maintaining high morale and productivity.

• Procurement & Logistics: Work closely with the procurement team to ensure products are available on time and in full.

• Deadline Management: Oversee the progress of projects, adapting work plans as needed to meet deadlines and ensure quality delivery.

• Client & Stakeholder Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams (Installation, Sales, Procurement, Accounts & Senior Management) 

• Quality Control: Review and sign off on building works before installation, maintaining a high level of quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

• Documentation & Reporting: Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation, and prepare progress reports for senior management.

• Process Improvement: Continuously optimize processes and approaches to enhance efficiency and quality.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure installation teams adhere to company OHS policies and maintain a safe working environment.

• Growth & Development: Identify opportunities for growth, new projects, and initiate actions to expand business opportunities.

Experience

• 3 years plus experience managing multiple projects, ideally in construction or engineering or residential build projects

• Proven leadership in budgets, and project timelines.

• Experience with installation projects and construction-related work and understanding of building processes and safety protocols.

• High level of familiarity with project management or CRM software for scheduling and reporting.

• Experience in managing project budgets and working with procurement teams to ensure timely material availability.

• Ability to identify risks, adapt project plans, and solve issues to keep projects on track.

• Skilled in managing client relationships, communicating effectively, and ensuring project satisfaction.

• Experience enforcing safety protocols and ensuring OHS compliance on-site.

• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills to maintain team morale and resolve issues.

HVACR Group is a veteran-owned business incorporating Acro Refrigeration and Shelair Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, is looking for a sharp, reliable safety operator to keep our teams and sites compliant across commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical projects. You’ll work directly with management and supervisors to lift safety standards across the business.

Job tasks and responsibilities

In this role you will be required to assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to:

• Lead day to day site operations for asbestos removal and mould remediation projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil sites.

• Oversee site setup, equipment readiness, WHS documentation, inductions, site photos, toolbox talks, and compliance requirements, maintaining strong safety practices in line with ISO45001.

• Supervise, support, and develop team members, including training, coaching, performance management, and maintaining a positive, high-standard workplace culture.

• Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, neighbours, and internal departments, managing variations, resolving issues on-site, and ensuring projects run on budget and within scope.

• Maintain accurate records including day dockets, safety paperwork, daily logs, near misses, injury documentation, equipment checks, and authorisations, ensuring all company procedures are followed.

• Manage multiple sites and crews, ensuring quality, compliance, equipment care, time management, and strict adherence to company policies, procedures, vehicle requirements, and integrated management systems.

Skills and experience

To be successful in securing a position with Zero Asbestos you must fit the following criteria:

• A current construction industry white card

• Able to pass a drug screening

• Must have a 'Can Do' positive attitude

• Ability to work to specific instructions

• Be able to work at a fast pace and in a team environment

• MR licence can be obtained after hiring if not currently held

• Asbestos removal both A & B Class and Supervisor tickets

• Minimum 3+ years experience in supervising asbestos removal is required
