About the business and the role

Zero ASBESTOS are a local Brisbane/Sunshine Coast business operating out of Coopers Plains and Warana (This position is based out of Warana). Our business is growing and our team of, reliable, conscientious and enthusiastic employees have attributed to this with building solid reputations amongst our clients with superior safety and workmanship.

Job tasks and responsibilities

In this role you will be required to assist with a variety of duties including but not limited to:

• Lead day to day site operations for asbestos removal and mould remediation projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil sites.

• Oversee site setup, equipment readiness, WHS documentation, inductions, site photos, toolbox talks, and compliance requirements, maintaining strong safety practices in line with ISO45001.

• Supervise, support, and develop team members, including training, coaching, performance management, and maintaining a positive, high-standard workplace culture.

• Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, neighbours, and internal departments, managing variations, resolving issues on-site, and ensuring projects run on budget and within scope.

• Maintain accurate records including day dockets, safety paperwork, daily logs, near misses, injury documentation, equipment checks, and authorisations, ensuring all company procedures are followed.

• Manage multiple sites and crews, ensuring quality, compliance, equipment care, time management, and strict adherence to company policies, procedures, vehicle requirements, and integrated management systems.

Skills and experience

To be successful in securing a position with Zero Asbestos you must fit the following criteria:

• A current construction industry white card

• Able to pass a drug screening

• Must have a 'Can Do' positive attitude

• Ability to work to specific instructions

• Be able to work at a fast pace and in a team environment

• MR licence can be obtained after hiring if not currently held

• Asbestos removal both A & B Class and Supervisor tickets

• Minimum 3+ years experience in supervising asbestos removal is required
