The role

We are seeking a hands-on Site Supervisor to join our Insulated Panel team.

Reporting to the Panel Install Manager, this role involves:

  • Organise, coordinate, and control insulated panel subcontractors, materials, plant and equipment whilst assisting our teams to keep safety front of mind.
  • Full-time site-based permanent position, company vehicle provided
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend works
  • Projects vary in duration from several days to several months, and you may travel between multiple sites throughout a week.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Daily coordination with the Panel Install Manager to understand and manage project priorities
  • Coordinate specialist subcontractor trades to ensure project program is achieved
  • Coordinate all ordering and delivery of plant, materials and equipment with the Panel Install Manager
  • Read and interpret drawings to provide direction to subcontractors where required
  • Provide hands-on supervision and direction of the works on site
  • Review SWMSs, deliver site inductions, record daily site diaries and conduct daily pre-starts and/or toolbox meetings
  • Regularly inspect in-progress and completed works to verify quality and compliance with design, recording progress photos and documenting defects
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders at site to ensure smooth delivery of the project

Qualifications & experience

  • A sound, practical understanding of buildings and structures
  • An interest in learning the details of coldroom building
  • Strong work ethic, workmanship & quality focus with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and assist where required to achieve deadlines
  • Recent experience on commercial and industrial projects ranging from $20,000 to $5m
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current drivers licence & reliable transport
  • Carpentry or roofing trade qualifications

The Fixed Plant Superintendent will support the Fixed Plant Manager in the coordination and management of the fixed plant equipment needed to support the Snowy 2.0 project, particularly the installation, commissioning, running, maintenance and decommissioning. The role will also oversee the utility / services installation and maintenance on the Snowy 2.0 project.


Qualifications:

  • Trade or Qualification in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

  • At least 15 years operating in the same field on major infrastructure projects of comparable size and complexity to the Snowy 2.0 project
  • At least 5 years of experience operating in a similar level role on a major infrastructure project
