HVACR Group is a veteran-owned business incorporating Acro Refrigeration and Shelair Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, is looking for a sharp, reliable safety operator to keep our teams and sites compliant across commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical projects. You’ll work directly with management and supervisors to lift safety standards across the business.
What you’ll do
What you’ll do
Conduct safety inspections on new project sites before work begins
Run ongoing site safety inspections and toolbox talks
Keep SWMS, risk assessments, and safety documentation current
Monitor contractor compliance, PPE standards, and site controls
Manage hazard, incident, and near-miss reporting with clear follow-up
Deliver safety inductions for new workers
Support continuous improvement across our safety systems and culture
What you bring
Solid understanding of WHS legislation and construction/HVAC industry safety
Competence in risk assessment and incident reporting
Straight communication and the confidence to call issues early
Current WHS qualification (Cert IV WHS preferred)
Experience in HVAC/R or construction is a bonus
Role details
Part-time, approx. 2–3 days per week (flexible)
Choose your base office: Kelvin Grove (Brisbane) or Deception Bay
Company car provided for work travel on work days
Mix of office work and site visits
Start date: ASAP
