About The RoleAs the Digital Communications & Campaigns Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering impactful mental health and suicide prevention campaigns that resonate across LGBTIQ+ communities.
Leading website development and content strategy, you will ensure QLife’s digital presence is accessible, engaging, and informative. You will lead the redevelopment and ongoing management of the QLife website as a user-friendly triage and self-help hub for those seeking support and information, reflecting best practice in digital mental health communication.
With a focus on enhancing brand visibility and visual profile, you will strengthen recognition and trust in LHA’s mental health and suicide prevention work. Managing MindOut and QLife project-related social media will amplify suicide prevention messages and foster community connection.
Collaboration with the MindOut and QLife teams, external partners, and lived experience voices will ensure communications are inclusive, authentic, and effective—a key component of this role.
What you will doDevelop and deliver strategic communications across media, digital, and stakeholder channels.
Lead the redevelopment and ongoing management of the QLife website.
Oversee digital communications, including web content, EDMs and social media.
Create and manage content that reflects LHA’s voice and values.
Lead media relations, including writing media releases and managing enquiries relating to suicide prevention.
Plan and deliver impactful suicide prevention campaigns that engage target audiences and support organisational goals.
Support internal communications and staff engagement.
Ensure brand consistency and support crisis communications when needed.
You’re a creative and strategic thinker with:
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience in a leadership position within a nonprofit or governmental
entity.
Proven experience in communications, marketing, or digital media - ideally within the notfor-profit or health sector.
Strong skills in campaign development, content creation, and social media management.
A demonstrated understanding of mental health and suicide prevention, or a willingness to learn with sensitivity and care.
Excellent written and visual communication skills, with an eye for detail and design.
