The Brand Manager is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing sound and profitable global marketing plans for the defined portfolio.
  • Identifying, refining and driving the end-to-end new product development of their defined portfolio taking products from creation to execution.
  • Working with the Sales and Research and Development teams to provide market insight into the development of new products and market trends.

Specific Responsibilites:

  • Understands customer needs and market issues and opportunities through primary and secondary market analysis.

  • Works with the Global Marketing Manager to develop and execute a profitable global marketing strategy for products within your portfolio for domestic and international markets.
  • Drives revenue and profit growth of the key products within the portfolio.
  • Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of advertising, sales promotions and sales programs.
  • Reviews pricing for products based on sound market and competitor analysis.
  • Works with key markets to strengthen SDI's relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and understand how this can drive strategy.
  • Works with the Global Marketing Manager to manage the promotional expense budget.
  • Produces and delivers effective on-brand communication materials (with assistance from the Graphic Design team or Agencies) for domestic and international markets.
  • Effectively communicates clear objectives, key strategies and product messages to Sales Managers and Sales representatives (as required).
  • Is the product champion for the products in the portfolio and delivers training to the relevant target groups when required
  • Acts as a point of reference for all product related enquiries and works collaboratively with colleagues in research and development (R&D) and regulatory to address any issues that may arise.
