What you’ll be doing:

Walking into your centre you’ll smile, as the early morning sun shines over our Pilbara nature escape. When the door opens, you’ll smell the fresh home-style meals and feel the community spirit. You’ll lead the close-knit team of educators, to ensure our children enjoy a safe, hygienic, and inspiring environment. You’ll promote ‘School ReadY’, maintain high quality programs, manage compliance, and truly engage with our wonderful children and families. At the end of your shift, you’ll walk out the door (still smiling) knowing the children are continuing to develop in body, mind, and spirit.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

  • Have infectious enthusiasm and passion in early years education and care
  • Have a degree or diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent
  • Hold a HLTAID012 First Aid certificate or equivalent
  • Understand the National Quality Framework & National Education & Care Services Regulations 2012
  • Previous experience in children services, developing and implementing programs for 0-to-5-year olds
  • Can obtain a National Police Certificate and Working with Children card

About the Role

We are seeking a senior academic in Psychiatry to provide leadership in teaching, research, and clinical education within the Joint Medical Program (JMP), a collaborative initiative between the University of Newcastle, the University of New England, and the Hunter New England and Central Coast Local Health Districts.

In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of Psychiatry education across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while actively contributing to curriculum innovation and academic governance. You will play a key role in building and supporting a network of clinician educators, fostering strong connections with colleagues at the Central Coast Clinical School, the Department of Rural Health, and the University of New England.

You will represent the discipline across School, College, University, and partner committees, and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance the quality and impact of Psychiatry education and research. The position also involves active collaboration with research programs at the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), the Central Coast Research Institute (CCRI), and Hunter New England Mental Health Services.

The successful candidate will be offered a Clinical Academic appointment with Hunter New England Local Health District and will be based at the Hunter Clinical School, located at John Hunter Hospital.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing in Psychiatry or a related field, along with medical registration in NSW and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent).
  • A strong track record of excellence in teaching, including clinical education, curriculum development, and educational leadership.
  • Demonstrated research achievement, including high-quality publications, successful external funding, and national or international collaborations.
  • Experience supervising MD, Masters, and Higher Degree by Research students, with a record of timely completions.
  • Proven leadership in academic governance, mentoring of junior staff, and contributions to policy development and professional service.
  • A commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering a collaborative academic environment.

Expertise in the following Fields of Research (FoR) is highly desirable:

For 85 years, Gowrie Victoria has been at the forefront of high-quality early learning. We’re a purpose-driven, valued-based, not-for-profit organisation and our belief in children will always drive everything we do.

Our small Registered Training Organisation (RTO ID 3900) is known as a place for practical and hands on learning. And our focus on quality placements and traineeships ensures students can effectively apply their learning as new educators. Our trainers and assessors are at the frontline, supporting Gowrie students throughout their whole journey from classroom to workplace to help set our students up for success.

We’re looking for a new team member with a minimum of five years’ experience delivering CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You’ll be experienced in developing training and assessment resources and undertaking validation processes, have sound knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2015 and Skills First Funding and able to demonstrate industry and vocational currency. Using your in depth knowledge of the sector and well developed technical abilities, you will work closely with our digital learning team to develop eLearning content for the sector.

About the Role

Campbelltown Community Children’s Centre is seeking two passionate, full-time Diploma or Certificate III Qualified Educators to join our warm, collaborative team.

You’ll work with children aged 2½ to 3½ years, supporting their growth, learning, and wellbeing in a play-based, Reggio Emilia–inspired environment where every child is seen as capable and full of potential.

As our Centre partners with the Flying Start 3-Year-Old Preschool Program, we’re expanding our team to continue offering high-quality, meaningful learning experiences for our children and families.
