AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. About the role:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of integrated defence systems through Model-Based Engineering and advanced systems design.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and decompose system and sub-system level requirements into detailed designs within a Model-Based Engineering (MBE) environment.
Define and manage system interfaces and ensure alignment across multiple domains and stakeholders.
Conduct trade studies and design trade-off analyses to optimise solutions against system requirements.
Develop key technical artefacts and documentation such as solution descriptions, requirements definitions, and trade-off reports.

About you:

To be successful, you will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or equivalent relevant experience in Defence projects.
Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Development (MBSD) and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) principles (experience with DoDAF or SysML preferred).
Proficiency with modelling tools such as MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or similar.
Experience developing system designs for large, complex systems and performing design trade-offs at multiple levels.
Demonstrated experience in Agile development environments.
Proficiency in requirements management tools such as DOORS or ETM (Engineering Test Management).
Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and contributing to verification and validation activities.
An active NV-1 security clearance and ability to handle Export Controlled information.

Position Summary
The AutoCAD Operator at NJM Design (VIC) Pty Ltd is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings, layouts, and documentation to support the delivery of building services and engineering projects. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the AutoCAD Operator ensures all drawings and records meet NJM Design’s Quality Assurance (QA), OHS, and ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 documentation standards.
This position plays a key role in maintaining consistency and accuracy across all project deliverables and contributes to the continuous improvement of drafting procedures and digital documentation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings for building services, fire, mechanical, electrical, and architectural projects.
Update and maintain drawings in accordance with QA checklist requirements and company drawing standards.
Review mark-ups and technical instructions provided by engineers or team leaders, ensuring all changes are accurately implemented.
Assist with coordination between disciplines to ensure drawings are integrated and clash-free.
File and manage drawing records in accordance with the Records Management Policy and project folder structure.
Support engineers in preparing as-built documentation, design reports, and drawing registers.
Ensure compliance with ISO and OHS policies, including document control, safe design principles, and version management.
