Truss Detailer / Estimator
Join a respected family-owned truss manufacturer in South-East Queensland as a Truss Detailer / Estimator!
Our client, a well-established and highly respected family firm, is seeking an experienced Truss Detailer / Estimator to join their team in Queensland. This is a crucial role where you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial client contact and estimation to detailing, production scheduling, and quality control. We're looking for a confident, well-organised professional who can work autonomously and is keen to mentor others. Experience with MiTek Sapphire is highly desirable.
Who will you be working with?
You will be working closely with clients, production staff, and management. You will serve as the key link between the design, fabrication, and customer service teams.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with clients to understand their project requirements.
- Estimating and detailing for roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall frames.
- Creating production schedules and overseeing the fabrication process.
- Performing quality control to ensure all products meet the company's high standards.
- Supervising and training truss fabrication staff.
- Ordering necessary stock, such as plates and timber.
What do you need?
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience in detailing and estimating for roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall frames.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- A professional and client-focused approach, with a sense of urgency.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with MiTek Systems is highly desirable.
- A willingness to train and mentor others.
