In this role you will be developing H Nu’s electrical test system for characterising H Nu's revolutionary optical current and voltage measurement equipment and developing associated control software. You will be deeply involved in product verification and test. You will also be working closely with our software engineers and the electronics, mechanical and optical teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Help build, configure and operate the electrical and environmental test system
· Develop control software for the test equipment
· Design tests based on electrical standards
· Developing software for testing and reporting device performance.
· Work with AEMO and similar organisations to work towards metering certification.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed.
Nature of Position:
The position is full-time with the expectation that the employee will generally work 5 days/week during normal business hours. The vast majority of the work will be on-site since you will be working closely with our electronics, firmware, mechanical and optics engineers.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
Extensive experience (3 years +) in using and controlling electrical test equipment
Extensive experience in Python, Matlab or LabVIEW controlling and automating test equipment
Good report writing skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
A careful, patience systematic approach
Good communications skills
Any of the following would be an advantage
Experience in design verification and test
Experience in power systems and/or optics
Experience in working with customers and engineering teams
Other European languages
Experience with AEMO.

Position Overview
The Bureau is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to manage the Radar Engineering group within the Operational Technology Engineering (OTE) team. OTE supports observation systems and operations within the Observing Systems and Operations (OSO) program.
The Manager Radar Engineering will lead and manage a diverse group of technical and scientific team members to provide engineering support to the Bureau's Radar, Ionosonde and Wind Profiler networks.
The successful candidate will also act as the Bureau's radiation protection advisor, working with experts in laser, ionising and non-ionising radiation management requirements.
The role also includes working with Bureau and external stakeholders to ensure successful operation of these capabilities.

In this key role, you will lead and mentor both the Infrastructure Engineer and Road Services Engineer, driving forward investigative and planning activities focused on road construction and drainage networks. This position plays an essential role in delivering technically sound, sustainable, and community-focused infrastructure solutions. You’ll be responsible for guiding complex projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
To be successful for this role you will require:
• Degree in Civil Engineering with at least five years’ experience in a similar role.
• Eligibility for membership to the Institute of Engineers Australia.
• Experience in the management and supervision of civil engineering works and contracts
• Excellent technical skills - computer literate with extensive experience in using Excel spread sheets, and basic AutoCAD.

Trade Qualification as a Plant Mechanic
Minimum 1 year Post-Trade Experience.
Minimum 6-months underground experience
