We currently have an opportunity for a Logistics Engineer in Canberra to work on Joint projects.
Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Logistics Engineer in Canberra to work on Joint projects.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
Support Strategy & Risk Management: Identify key support drivers, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
ILS & Asset Management Expertise: Provide authoritative guidance on first-principles ILS and ISO55000-based asset management.
LSAR Assurance Leadership: Lead assurance activities for the Logistics Support Analysis Record and related artefacts.
Systems Engineering Integration: Bridge ILS practices with broader Systems Engineering concepts.
Contract Oversight & Feedback: Review deliverables and offer expert recommendations for improvement and compliance.
Asset Management Qualifications: Degree or Certificate-level qualifications in Asset Management or Systems Engineering (mandatory/desirable).
Defence & Reliability Engineering Experience: Proven application of Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, or LSA in Defence or similar industries.
Systems Engineering & DOORS Training: Formal training in Systems Engineering and DOORS tools (desirable).
RAM & LCC Modelling Expertise: Ability to assess acquisition impacts on sustainment using RAM and Life Cycle Cost modelling.
Industry Standards Application: Experience applying standards like S3000L and ISO55000 series to deliver cost savings and capability improvements.
