About The Role:

Micway Transport is looking for MC Licenced - Heavy Vehicle Drivers. Delivering chilled and frozen food to major fast-food outlets & major retail chains.

DAY SHIFT

  • 4 x 10-hour roster, plus weekend overtime 

  • Start time of 04:30am each day 

  • Weekend Overtime Shift

Tasks involved:

  • Safe manoeuvring of heavy vehicle around tight loading docks and store fronts

  • Mandatory Prestart check's

  • Repetitive Electric pallet jack use 

  • Hand unloading within food outlets and retail chains.

  • Complying with Micway Transport's policies, procedures and heavy vehicle legislation with mandatory training as required.

Skills required:

Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of the Front-End Loader (FEL) Driver/Operator is to safely and efficiently operate Front End Loaders, skid-steers and other heavy equipment such as excavators as used by Qube as part of its operations.

This role is based in Qube Ports’ Newcastle fertilizer storage facility, handling cargo during receival and despatch to customers.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Safe & efficient operation of front-end loader & other site machinery
  • Load-out bulk commodities to customer trucks on-site
  • Complete all necessary associated documentation (such as the preparation and signing of cartage dockets and service requests)
  • Follow appropriate company procedures
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product
  • Undertake supervision work when directed
  • Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care
  • Ensure compliance with all government heavy vehicle operating guide lines
  • Ensure compliance with fatigue management and fitness for work
  • Ensure compliance with loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle specific permits

  • High risk work license for as appropriate for equipment operated
