About the Role

  • Operate graders to final trim tolerances on road construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects

  • Read and work from design plans, cross-sections, and levels

  • Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to achieve high-quality outcomes

  • Conduct daily pre-starts, basic maintenance, and report any plant issues promptly

  • Work across various regional council areas, with projects generally based within SEQ and South West QLD

 What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in final trim grading for civil roadworks

  • Ability to operate using both GPS and manual trim

  • Current driver’s licence (HR or higher preferred)

  • White Card (and relevant plant tickets)

An excellent, highly regarded national interior fit-out, refurbishment contractor has an immediate need to hire a Site Manager on a permanent basis to join their growing team. Joining this business employing approx. 80 staff nationally, you will work on projects typically within the live environment shopping centre, retail, fast-food restaurant and supermarket space with projects valued between $500k - $3M which will be located throughout Greater Brisbane and Regional QLD. Projects are typically for ‘Box Retailers’, fast food chains and national asset owners.


As a Site Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of these challenging projects. Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the construction project which will include; 


  • Management of all on-site trades and sub-contractors

  • coordination of all internal and services trades.

  • Reading construction plans and drawings 

  • Ensuring site safety through HSE management

  • Liaising with various stakeholders including the building managers and clients. 

  • Reporting to the Project Manager through email correspondence and telephone, providing progress updates 

  • Help and understand with the project program ensuring you hit key daily and weekly milestones 

Suitable candidates will possess the following; 

  • Ideally coming from a Carpentry background 

  • 2-10 years+ site supervisory experience as a Foreman / Site Manager 

  • Experience of fast-track fit-out projects is key 

  • Will ideally have a good understanding of services and internal trades

  • Experience working in live environment projects such as shopping centre and supermarket projects

  • Well qualified with various construction tickets 

  • Enthusiastic, committed and eager to build a career with an excellent employer. 

  • Happy to work night shift and away from home as required 

  • Will be willing to travel and work nights when called upon.

Key Responsibilities
