About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor or Certifier (Class 1–10) to play a key role in the delivery of modular housing designed and manufactured offshore. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll oversee compliance and quality across the production and installation process, conduct inspections and documentation reviews, and ensure all work meets Australian building and regulatory standards.
The role includes frequent travel to China and offers exceptional long-term growth, including a pathway to partnership and profit share.

- Conduct audits, inspections and compliance assessments in line with NCC, BCA and Australian Standards
- Oversee modular home production offshore to ensure consistent compliance and build quality
- Review plans, testing reports, documentation and certifications prior to dispatch
- Develop and refine SOPs across structural, electrical, plumbing, QA, logistics and administration
- Provide accurate, professional written and verbal compliance advice to management
- Support approval processes including CDCs, CCs and OCs where required
- Degree or qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Building Surveyor/Certifier (Class 1–10)
- Strong understanding of NCC Volumes 1 & 2, BCA and relevant Australian Standards
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Comfortable working across cultures and building effective relationships at all levels
- Ability to travel to China for up to 3 weeks per month
