Berkeley Group are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor or Manager to take on this critical position on our staff on a full-time basis, working within the fit-out and refurbishment industry.
Duties & responsibilities:
Oversee and manage tradespeople and subcontractors on worksites
Coordination of all site logistics, material delivery, and resource allocation
Implementation and continuous adherence to OH&S policies and processes
Ensure works are carried out in accordance to set plans and specifications
Approval of subcontractor invoices
Liaise with our Project Manager to ensure budgets and time constraints are met
Long and Short term scheduling and programming
Experience & attributes:
Solid working history in Construction as a Foreman or Site Manager
Prior experience with a reputable mid-tier organisation is advantageous
Commercial or Aged Care projects experience is highly regarded
Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Clear and effective interpersonal and delegation skills
Keen understanding of quality control measures
Strong and motivated work ethic with honesty & integrity
Trade background is advantageous

Position Details:
Permanent - Full time
Salary: between $90,000 and $120,000 per annum (before Tax) depending on experience
What you would be doing:
Reviewing and creating functional statements, organizational charts, and project details to identify roles, duties of workers, work units, and identify instance of repetition.

Creating programs to measure work and examining previous work to establish labour use standards.
Assessing labour use, facility layout, operational data’s, production schedules, and costings to efficiently determine ideal worker and equipment for each work.
Creating designs for mechanical machinery, devices, parts, production items, and construction systems.
Formulating manufacturing specifications, selecting materials and equipment, planning material flow, capacities, and constructing layouts for each work.
Managing project labour, purchasing materials, overseeing material delivery, and coordinating equipment and plant supply.
Setting up guidelines and protocols for installation, adjustment, quality assurance, testing, inspection, and conservation based on safety standards and engineering principles.
Conducting quality assurance and checks to ensure the best possible output is maintained.
Guiding maintenance efforts and organizing needs for new designs, surveys, and conversations
Skills and Qualifications required
An ability to:
Read and decipher Engineering drawings and perform material take-offs
Perform costs analysis
Meet deadlines
Able to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised
You must have:
Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience
Good computer skills and knowledge
Understanding flow of work and fabrication
Knowledge of Commercial Terms and Conditions
Good verbal and written communication skills
Trade background in boiler making and workshop experience preferred
Full work rights in Australia
