About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to launch a career in horticulture and open space maintenance. If you're passionate about learning, enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, and thrive in a team environment, this role is for you. You'll be involved in scheduled garden maintenance, seasonal planting, and soft landscape upgrades across parks, gardens, and streetscapes, while also having the chance to contribute your own ideas and creativity to enhance Manningham's parks and gardens.

What you'll bring

You have good communication skills (both verbal and written), are tech-savvy, and demonstrate a proactive attitude with the drive to develop technical skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. You have a genuine interest in horticulture and the environment, are reliable and eager to learn, work well in a team and with a variety of people, and are ready to commit to a structured apprenticeship program. Previous horticultural and/or landscaping experience, including the use of maintenance equipment, is desirable but not essential, and a current Victorian Driver's Licence is essential.

Skills and Experience

  • Assist in the upkeep and presentation of Council's parks, gardens, and open spaces through horticultural maintenance activities.
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Accurately record operational tasks using Council's asset management system.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to meet service delivery and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Participate in training and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Attend scheduled tertiary training at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
  • Follow direction, complete landscape works to a high standard and embrace feedback.
  • Assess situations, arrive at appropriate work solutions, and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Have a passion for horticulture and a desire to continually improve.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering complex engineering, building, or landscape projects
  • Proven experience in project delivery using recognised frameworks (e.g., PMBoK)

As the Compliance Steam Leader, you will provide strong leadership and direction across Council’s compliance activities, ensuring effective enforcement, high-quality service delivery and positive community outcomes. About you

You’re an experienced compliance professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality service to the community. With sound judgement and a proactive approach, you manage complex compliance matters with accuracy and professionalism. Confident in interpreting legislation and applying investigative practices, you provide clear, informed advice to both internal stakeholders and members of the public.

You bring proven experience leading a team, with strong knowledge of investigative practices and relevant Local and State legislation. The Opportunity

As the Maintenance Leading Hand, you will lead our team of Maintenance Officers. In this role you will manage programmed works, oversee asset and infrastructure maintenance, and provide technical and operational support. You will have a sound knowledge of maintenance activities, OH&S, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage competing demands.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and minor upgrades of Council assets (kerbs, footpaths, parks, signage, shelters, playgrounds)
  • Undertake inspections and routine servicing of structures and equipment
  • Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Operate minor plant and tools as required and service equipment
  • Assist with other works and support a positive, customer-focused team culture

Provide high-level executive, secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Executive Hospitals North West (CEHNW).
As a member of the Office of CEHNW, demonstrate a high degree of initiative and confidentiality and be the primary point of contact for the Office.

You will need:

  • Provide a single focal point for incoming and outgoing high-level communications and documentation for Hospitals North West, contributing to the efficient and effective workflow and sharing of information across the Department of Health, Office of the Secretary, and the Minister’s Office
  • Input and maintain information via the Department’s electronic document tracking and reference systems,
    contributing to the efficient and effective workflow and sharing of information.
  • Provide high-level direct executive support to the CEHNW, including managing email workflow, electronic
    diary management, scheduling appointments, organising meeting requirements, collation of papers, and
    preparing and handling highly confidential, politically sensitive, and complex documentation and enquiries.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time day worker, working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing from the 19 January 2026

Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist - Senior (Mental Health - Continuing Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

 You will

  • Provide efficient and responsive mental health assessment and management at a high level
  • Apply independent professional judgement, based on valid and reliable evidence
  • Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with professional code of ethics
  • Provide supervision, training and support in a specialist area to staff, and training and supervision to students

 About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Driver Licence
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

About the Role

As the Coordinator Water & Coasts you will lead the Water & Coasts part (approx. 5 FTE) of the Coasts & Climate Resilience team whilst also contributing to delivery of water and coast related plans, policies and projects and providing expert professional advice to Council and community.  

You will support the Team Leader – Coasts & Climate Resilience by leading the Water & Coasts part of the Coasts & Climate Resilience team. This role provides an opportunity for a balance of leadership and contribution to delivery plans, policies and projects that will have a lasting benefit for the community and environment.

Reporting to the Team Leader – Coasts & Climate Resilience the core responsibilities include:

  • Lead Water & Coasts part of the Coasts & Climate Resilience team (approx. 5 FTE)
  • Provide expert Water & Coasts advice internally and externally
  • Manage and oversee complex Water & Coasts projects
  • Contribute to a positive and fun work culture

 

About You

You will thrive in this role if you are adaptable, values-driven, and enjoy making processes run smoothly behind the scenes. You will also have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Education & Experience – Demonstrated experience in embedding Water & Coasts in an organisation. Experience in leading teams is highly regarded. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as environment, natural resource management, engineering or science. 
  • Written & Oral Communication – Ability to communicate information and concepts and provide exceptional customer experience to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, sometimes dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Problem Solving – Ability to respond to issues, problems and opportunities that arise and manage varied work requirements with a keen attention to detail.
  • Law & Regulatory Awareness – Demonstrated experience in understanding and applying regulatory or compliance requirements in relation to water and coastal management.
  • Project Management - Extensive experience in project management, strategy development and policy formulation and proven track record in the delivery of major projects.
