The Opportunity:

We’re seeking an experienced Authorised Prescriber to join easykind. This role offers autonomy, the opportunity to shape patient care in a growing organisation, and highly competitive earning potential.

Fees are paid for services delivered, with income scaling according to hours worked. Based on a full-time equivalent (FTE) workload, the potential earnings are up to $375,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to their standard clinical load, the Authorised Prescriber Clinical Lead will dedicate approximately 10% of their time to:

  • Support Escalated Clinical Cases: Provide oversight and guidance on complex patient scenarios referred by other clinicians.

  • Script Amendments: Action urgent prescription amendments, ensuring timely and compliant care.

  • Clinical Governance: Monitor and support safe prescribing practices within their team.

  • Education & Mentorship: Act as a point of clinical guidance for new practitioners, especially those onboarding into medicinal cannabis prescribing. 

What you bring to the table

  • Authorised Prescriber status and AHPRA registration (Schedule 8 prescribing)

  • Proven experience prescribing via telehealth

  • Deep knowledge of clinical compliance and patient safety protocols

  • Excellent communicator and team collaborator

About the role

About the role

Mater Private Hospital Mackay currently have available positions for Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Technicians, on a permanent full-time basis.

As a CSSD Technician you will provide an efficient and effective preparation and sterilisation service by utilising a high standard of skills and procedures by industry and hospital guidelines. CSSD Technicians assist the perioperative clinical team in delivering clinical care under the direction and supervision of the Registered and Enrolled Nurses when necessary.

Mater Private Hospital Mackay provides the highest level of specialist care to patients, their families, carers, and visitors. Our team of industry professionals work together as a cohesive and collaborative unit, going above and beyond to provide patient-centred care and deliver the highest level of clinical standards for the patient and the unit.

Salary range: $35.92-$36.97 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Apply appropriate cleaning methods, disinfecting agents and procedures on surgical instrumentation
  • Process equipment for transfer to an external sterilising unit where necessary
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of surgical instruments and packaging techniques
  • Conduct all sterilisation procedures following accepted sterilisation methods and principles
  • Process endoscopic equipment for multi-use purposes
  • Store sterilised items appropriately to maintain sterility and maximise access and efficiency
  • Perform functions within the scope of practice according to accepted clinical principles, standards, and regulations

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following criteria:

  • A demonstrated understanding of infection control principles
  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services, or the ability to provide evidence of working towards attainment within the first six months

Desirable

  • Exposure to Sterilisation Services in a healthcare environment
  • Previous experience in a CSSD role with the ability to work in all areas with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
