About the Role:

Echuca Regional Health currently have a vacancy for a Credentialled Diabetes Educator. This role provides expert advice and support across the health service in diabetes management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role is varied in nature and tasks include, but are not limited to, outpatient clinic, inpatient support, assistance in the upskilling of staff as well as participating and running group education programs as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct assessments of individuals, considering disease type and stage, treatment, social situation, physical function, psychosocial needs and other relevant clinical factors

  • Participate in and lead quality improvement activities, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement

  • Actively participate in Nutrition and Dietetics and/ or Diabetes Education team meetings, as well as program or unit meetings, as delegated

  • Provide client-focused clinical services in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

  • Participate in and contribute to the supervision of students and support ongoing nursing education, as applicable

Qualifications/experience required:

  • Post Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education

  • Credentialed with Australian Diabetes Educators Association

Desirable:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in Diabetes Education

  • Experience with insulin pump therapy (CSII) and continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGMS)

  • Experience with complex diabetes management cases, RCP, Patient Flow Manager and BOS

Our Interventional Oncology team is integral to this, and they rely on leadership and support from an exceptional Interventional Radiology clinician with experience and insight into the challenges and future development of peri-operative care.  

Working closely with the Head of Department, we currently have an exciting maternity relief opportunity for an experienced Interventional Radiographer with a strong background in leadership roles to lead our team as we continue to grow.  Our lab is equipped with the state-of-the-art Siemens Nexaris System, the first integrated CT and Angiography suite in Australia. Our ability to deliver advanced operative technologies provides patients with access to innovative care.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract role to cover maternity leave. There will be an option to extend on a part time basis or make permanent at the end of the term, however this will dependent upon the operational requirements of the service at the time. 

Key Responsibilities of the Role 

  • Operational Management: Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Interventional Oncology (IO) service, including radiographers, nurses, and technical assistants.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement and strategic growth of the IO and medical imaging services to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
  • Performance & Accountability: Work collaboratively with executive management and the Director of IO to meet service objectives and maintain high clinical standards.
  • Leadership & Culture: Provide professional leadership and promote a positive, supportive workplace culture focused on teamwork, wellbeing, and continuous learning.
  • External Collaboration: Liaise with external service providers and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of services.
  • Clinical Practice: Perform high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures (fluoroscopy, angiography, CT, ultrasound, and related techniques) under the supervision of interventional radiologists and surgeons.
  • Patient Care: Ensure patient safety, comfort, and understanding throughout all procedures, maintaining a high standard of compassionate care.
  • Equipment & Protocols: Operate, maintain, and optimise complex imaging equipment and procedural protocols in line with safety and quality requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, nursing, and administrative staff, to plan and deliver procedures effectively.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient and procedural records, ensuring compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Radiation Safety: Monitor and minimise radiation exposure, oversee departmental radiation safety practices, and participate in hospital safety committees.
  • Training & Supervision: Induct, supervise, and support new, graduate, and student radiographers; coordinate learning and competency programs.
  • Quality Assurance: Undertake regular QA activities, including image quality review, equipment checks, and infection control monitoring.
  • Research & Education: Participate in research, audits, and professional development activities to support innovation and best practice within the IO field.
  • Service Promotion: Support broader departmental initiatives that enhance awareness and access to the IO service.

 Essential Skills and Qualifications 

  • Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences (Diagnostic Radiography) from an approved program of study.
  • AHPRA registration
  • NSW EPA Radiation License
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic imaging principles including interventional radiographic imaging principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedural advancements in the field
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring a high standard of ethical conduct
  • National Police Check (within the last 6 months)

Chris O'Brien Lifehouse (COBL) is an independent not for profit private hospital situated in central Sydney, where our integrated multidisciplinary imaging delivers exceptional cancer care.

COBL people foster a culture of expertise, learning, technology and research where patients are at the heart of everything we do. Our Interventional Oncology team is integral to this, and they rely on leadership and support from an exceptional Interventional Radiology clinician with experience and insight into the challenges and future development of peri-operative care.  

Working closely with the Head of Department, we currently have an exciting maternity relief opportunity for an experienced Interventional Radiographer with a strong background in leadership roles to lead our team as we continue to grow.  Our lab is equipped with the state-of-the-art Siemens Nexaris System, the first integrated CT and Angiography suite in Australia. Our ability to deliver advanced operative technologies provides patients with access to innovative care.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract role to cover maternity leave. There will be an option to extend on a part time basis or make permanent at the end of the term, however this will dependent upon the operational requirements of the service at the time. 

Key Responsibilities of the Role 

  • Operational Management: Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Interventional Oncology (IO) service, including radiographers, nurses, and technical assistants.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement and strategic growth of the IO and medical imaging services to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
  • Performance & Accountability: Work collaboratively with executive management and the Director of IO to meet service objectives and maintain high clinical standards.
  • Leadership & Culture: Provide professional leadership and promote a positive, supportive workplace culture focused on teamwork, wellbeing, and continuous learning.
  • External Collaboration: Liaise with external service providers and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of services.
  • Clinical Practice: Perform high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures (fluoroscopy, angiography, CT, ultrasound, and related techniques) under the supervision of interventional radiologists and surgeons.
  • Patient Care: Ensure patient safety, comfort, and understanding throughout all procedures, maintaining a high standard of compassionate care.
  • Equipment & Protocols: Operate, maintain, and optimise complex imaging equipment and procedural protocols in line with safety and quality requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, nursing, and administrative staff, to plan and deliver procedures effectively.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient and procedural records, ensuring compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Radiation Safety: Monitor and minimise radiation exposure, oversee departmental radiation safety practices, and participate in hospital safety committees.
  • Training & Supervision: Induct, supervise, and support new, graduate, and student radiographers; coordinate learning and competency programs.
  • Quality Assurance: Undertake regular QA activities, including image quality review, equipment checks, and infection control monitoring.
  • Research & Education: Participate in research, audits, and professional development activities to support innovation and best practice within the IO field.
  • Service Promotion: Support broader departmental initiatives that enhance awareness and access to the IO service.

 Essential Skills and Qualifications 

  • Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences (Diagnostic Radiography) from an approved program of study.
  • AHPRA registration
  • NSW EPA Radiation License
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiographic imaging principles including interventional radiographic imaging principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedural advancements in the field
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring a high standard of ethical conduct
  • National Police Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Compliance with Category A immunization requirements
  • Previous experience with Siemens imaging modalities not essential but highly beneficial

Whether you want to explore different locations or prefer consecutive assignments, you have the freedom to design a schedule that suits you.

The Role:

You will be required to work with our multidisciplinary team to provide specialised Physiotherapy treatment which is tailored to the individual needs of the live-in residents, to improve their quality of life.
 
Regular RACF duties may involve; 1 to 1 treatments - see residents with specific treatment plan (evidence based treatments), referrals and assessments (falls and injuries) and exercise classes (focus on improving function). This position involves regular collaboration with on-site staff including, registered nurses and care staff, as well as other medical and allied health professionals. 
  • Hourly Rates: $51 (Casual), $56 (Contractor/ABN).
  • Flexible Start & Finish Dates: You choose your assignment > 2-8 weeks available! NSW/QLD now accepting applications. 
  • Roster: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week - Weekends off! 
  • AHP covers all locum/travel expenses and will arrange transport to ensure you can focus on delivering exceptional care without logistical concerns.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Qualification as a Physiotherapist + General AHPRA Registration.
  • Experience in residential aged care. 
  • Two successful clinical references.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (Can apply through AHP).
  • National Police Check within the last two years.
