Your new role

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Operating the high reach forklift to put away stock
  • Operate the counterbalance forklift to load and unload trucks
  • Take part in picking and packing when there is no forklift work and during peak order times
  • Operating manual and electronic pallet jacks
  • Operate manual or electronic pallet wrappers.




What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in your application for this position, you will need:

  • Experience operating high-reach forklifts and a current forklift licence
  • The ability to work towards KPIs and take constructive feedback from your supervisors
  • Reliable transport to get to and from work
  • Have the ability to safely complete 10kg-12 kg lifts repetitively for when you are picking and packing orders
  • Be available to work shifts between 9:30am - 5:30pm or 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday

Driving a concrete agitator truck for Heidelberg Materials is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers and Batchers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products, becoming the face of our business. As a Driver, you will be making multiple deliveries throughout the day, operating the batch plant, and interacting with lots of different people. Every day will be different, there's nothing routine about this role!

About the role:

  • Rates: $35.74ph plus 25% casual loading
  • You will be based at the Busselton Concrete Plant.
  • Most days will start at 7am-3pm and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50 - 55 hours per week.
  • As we mentioned, driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven't met before
  • We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads
  • All new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourself.

About you:

  • Minimum of HR license (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred)

About the role

The MED role plays a pivotal role in the day to day safe and efficient operation of our vessels. This role is responsible for all mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as pre-starts, shut downs, handovers and daily maintenance. Clear communication, physical fitness and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines is paramount in this role. 

  

Working in close conjunction with all crew, duties will include:

  • The Re-fueling of vessel in safe manner 
  • Assist Master in conducting safety drills
  • Daily checks and maintenance
  • Complete daily Engineering log and report defects
  • Assist with the safe, efficient and timely boarding and disembarkation of all passengers.
