Position Overview
The Quality & Supply Chain Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring product quality, compliance with safety and process standards, and the smooth flow of purchasing, production, and inventory systems. This role supports quality processes, coordinates with purchasing, and maintains systems such as Microsoft Access and KANBAN. The role also includes oversight and backup support functions across production, purchasing, and occupational health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance
Record and report on product waste data
Follow up and track corrective and preventative actions
Approve and coordinate warranty claims
Produce quality and safety reports
Maintain the Quality Manual and associated documentation
Conduct internal audits and maintain procedures
Review incident reports and support OHS manager
Conduct basic risk assessments and contribute to safety planning
Purchasing & Inventory Support
Train, oversee, and provide backup for the Purchasing Officer
Raise and assist with purchasing of imported goods
Liaise with suppliers as required (Purchasing Officer is primary contact)
Support in negotiating prices and sourcing alternate suppliers
Assist with preparing forecasts and conducting basic cost analysis
Prepare, coordinate, and analyse quarterly stocktakes
Further develop and maintain KANBAN systems
Systems & Production Support
Review orders entered into production
Fine-tune Access-based trailer setup processes and correct errors
Set up trailers in the Microsoft Access database support
Coordinate with external IT support for Access system issue resolution
Develop a strong understanding of Microsoft Access or MRP systems through training
OHS Oversight (Support Role)
Oversee tasks delegated to the OHS Manager
Support review of incident reports and completion of basic risk assessments
Assist in compiling and producing safety-related reports
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in quality assurance, production coordination, or supply chain management
Strong reporting and documentation skills
Knowledge of KANBAN systems and inventory management
Basic understanding of cost analysis
Exposure to purchasing and supplier liaison
Sound knowledge of or willingness to train in Microsoft Access and/or MRP systems
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments
Fork lift licence/experience
Desirable Qualifications
Formal qualification in business, logistics, supply chain, quality, or manufacturing (preferred)
Familiarity with quality and audit processes
Familiarity with OHS obligations

Working Conditions
This is an on-site position with standard business hours.
Some extra hours may be required during audits or peak production periods.
Occasional liaison with suppliers or external auditors may be required.
