Join Mackay City Auto Group as a first year Apprentice Automotive Technician and start a great career with one of the area's most respected auto companies.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Service Workshop team and begin your career toward a trade qualification with full training provided. You will need to be a team player, with a keen eye for detail, have a great work ethic and a ‘’can do'' attitude towards learning and development.
Whilst completing your apprenticeship, you will attend TAFE and/or OEM training as required and be mentored by our team of Qualified Service & Diagnostic Technicians and Master Technicians while you carry out a range of mechanical duties. Further opportunity exists for the right candidate to become fully trained as brand specialist technician via OEM training.
You will receive in house technical training as well as Manufacturer specific training. You will work in our newly refurbished and fully equipped workshop using the latest diagnostic equipment.
Requirements
• Completion of a mechanical pre-apprenticeship CERT II highly desirable
• Valid Australian manual drivers license
• Previous mechanical work experience (preferred but not essential)

As a Cabinet Maker with Nordic Design Furniture, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, bespoke furniture pieces for our discerning clientele. Working in our well-equipped workshop in Magill, SA, you will play a crucial role in bringing our designers' visions to life through your exceptional woodworking skills and attention to detail. What you'll be doing
Interpreting design specifications and technical drawings to produce custom cabinetry, shelving, and other furniture items
Selecting appropriate materials and wood types to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship
Operating a variety of power tools and woodworking equipment with precision and safety
Collaborating with the design team to problem-solve any technical or practical challenges
Ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and within agreed timelines
Maintaining a clean, organised and well-maintained workshop environment
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in cabinet making or a related trade, such as a Certificate III in Cabinet Making
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a cabinet maker, ideally in a custom furniture or high-end residential setting
Excellent woodworking skills, including the ability to read technical drawings and operate a range of power tools
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality
