Experience
2 - 3 years experience as an Accounts Assistant and sound knowledge of accounting procedures
Previous experience in the back office of hospitality (particularly Community Clubs) would be an advantage, but not essential.

Position Purpose
The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial records and statutory obligations. This role supports the business by providing reliable financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Australian accounting standards, and contributing to effective financial management and decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Ledger
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
•Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with AASB/IFRS.
•Process and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
•Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying variances against budget.
Compliance & Audit
•Prepare and lodge all statutory compliance requirements, including BAS, PAYG, and superannuation.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Ad-Hoc Support

Your key responsibilities will include
Financial Leadership
· Lead development and implementation across all financial processes
· All month end duties including reconciliations, journals, BS, P&L, Revenue and expenses
· Full financial management including oversight of AP, AR, Payroll and PAYG.
· Managing budgeting and forecast vs actuals (accounting experience in consumables market a bonus)

About the role:
