The role
As a result of our long-term stability and growth, an opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Engineering Surveyor to join our team based out of our Sydney office at Auburn.  This opportunity will see you reporting directly to our Survey Manager and see you working across a wide variety of Civil Construction Projects in the Sydney Region, such as major transport projects, small and large scale subdivisions and intricate civil projects.

Main duties

  • Provide timely and accurate survey setout for projects

  • Complete conformance and Work as Executed surveys and provide relevant reports and drawings

  • Provide projects with End of Month quantities

  • Verify project designs and prepare data for field setout

  • Actively contribute to safety and quality assurance

 

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Relevant surveying qualification (Diploma minimum)

  • 5+ years of experience on TfNSW projects

  • Working knowledge of 12d

  • Machine guidance modelling – Trimble and Topcon

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to solve problems and show initiative

The Opportunity:

As the Network Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the support, maintenance, and upgrade of our clients GSM-R network. The role is based at our North Sydney office, with visits to client metropolitan offices and be the primary point of contact for the team responsible for the resolution of faults on the network. Responsibilities:

  • Chair weekly meetings with clients and maintenance teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve faults.
  • Provide inputs for monthly reports.
  • Lead and train the NOC Engineering team.
  • Manage the interface with the field services team.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the GSM-R network.
  • Respond to faults via inbound calls and NMS alerts, troubleshooting network incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Telecommunications, ICT, or Engineering.

  • More than 7+ years experience in Mechanical systems HVAC design (Chilled water systems, VRF, BMS, IES, Medical Gases, automation, etc.)

  • Healthcare design using the WA Health Facility Guidelines

  • Working to Australian codes and sustainability standards

  • Clear communication, leading mechanical designs and strong project collaboration

  • Ability for baseline clearance is desirable

Senior Mechanical Engineer, Buildings Services

Cain Equipment Australia Pty Ltd is an Australian family owned business who design and manufacture premium custom built truck bodies and trailers in Keysborough.

We are currently seeking a motivated drafts person to join our team.

You will work closely with our Managing Director and will be responsible for producing high quality technical drawings, supporting design development and contributing to the manufacturing process.

Your duties will include but not limited to

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for truck bodies and trailers.

  • Update existing designs and technical documentation

  • Collaborating with the Managing Director to ensure designs meet project requirements

  • Perform basic calculations and measurements for structural and mechanical components

  • Translate client requirements into accurate drawings and specifications

  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards and safety requirements

  • Maintain version control and document management of drawings

  • Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas to improve products and processes

Consideration for the positions will be given with the following requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate IV qualification in engineering drafting or related field

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks or Inventor

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication and materials

  • Strong technical drawing and design skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally
