The role
As a result of our long-term stability and growth, an opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Engineering Surveyor to join our team based out of our Sydney office at Auburn. This opportunity will see you reporting directly to our Survey Manager and see you working across a wide variety of Civil Construction Projects in the Sydney Region, such as major transport projects, small and large scale subdivisions and intricate civil projects.
Main duties
Provide timely and accurate survey setout for projects
Complete conformance and Work as Executed surveys and provide relevant reports and drawings
Provide projects with End of Month quantities
Verify project designs and prepare data for field setout
Actively contribute to safety and quality assurance
Ideal Candidate Experience
Relevant surveying qualification (Diploma minimum)
5+ years of experience on TfNSW projects
Working knowledge of 12d
Machine guidance modelling – Trimble and Topcon
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to solve problems and show initiative

What you'll be doing
Prepare detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, including single-line diagrams, general arrangements, schematics, and termination diagrams for Solar, Wind, and BESS projects.
Support the development of High Voltage, Low Voltage, and Control System designs across a variety of renewable projects.
Collaborate with electrical and civil engineers to produce design packages for switchrooms, substations, and balance-of-plant systems.
Contribute to design standards, drawing templates, and QA processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across all SPD projects.
Assist with as-built documentation and design coordination during construction.
Work with engineers to transition SPD’s drafting capability toward 3D design and modelling tools.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical design/drafting role (renewable energy, substation, or HV/LV experience highly regarded).
Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred); experience with other programmes ideal.
Strong understanding of electrical design documentation, including schematics, GAs, and layout plans.
