Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Join Lockheed Martin Australia as the V&V Lead on the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS) – a next-generation capability integrating air, electromagnetic, and missile defence operations. You are a proven technical leader with deep experience in Defence Test & Evaluation, capable of driving complex V&V programs through to customer acceptance. To be successful, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or equivalent relevant experience in Defence projects.

The role

As the energy sector undergoes rapid transformation, we are seeking a Secondary Systems Substation Design Engineer to join their in-house engineering team and play a key role in delivering secure, efficient, and modern power systems for millions of customers.

Our client is a major DNSP responsible for planning, designing, and operating the electricity distribution network across metropolitan and regional NSW. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver detailed secondary system designs for high-voltage substations (132kV and above), including protection, control, metering, SCADA, and communications systems.

  • Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and termination drawings in line with internal DNSP standards.

  • Create and review technical documentation such as design reports, protection settings, interface documents, and test procedures.

  • Collaborate with primary systems, SCADA, and civil design teams to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.

  • Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and hazard identification studies.

  • Coordinate with OEMs, internal stakeholders, and external consultants to ensure alignment with project scope and compliance.

  • Support commissioning and site teams with design clarifications and issue resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with DNSP standards and Australian regulations (AS/NZS 2067, 3000, 7000).

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 5–10+ years’ experience in secondary systems/substation design, ideally within a DNSP, utility, or major EPC.

  • In-depth knowledge of protection and control systems, including logic diagrams, relay settings, and SCADA interfaces.

  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards and DNSP-specific guidelines.

  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.

  • A strong safety mindset and commitment to engineering best practice.

InVeris Training Solutions is a leading company in simulated weapon training systems and live fire target systems. Established in Albury 26 years ago, InVeris supports Defence and law enforcement with the supply, maintenance and operations of simulated weapon training systems across Australia.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and analytical Senior Maintenance Supervisor to join our technical services team here in Albury-Wodonga. Our technical services team provides maintenance and engineering support to a large fleet of simulation systems. Working from our Lavington headquarters, you’ll be responsible for the performance of engineering services and our weapon maintenance program.

The Senior Maintenance Supervisor is a key role in the field of systems engineering, suitable for candidates of a systems, software, or computing engineering background.

On a day-today bases you would be expected to lead engineering services and weapon maintenance staff to fulfill the requirements of our contracts and the wider business. This role also includes acting as a technical authority delegate and a Laser Safety Officer level 1. There may also be requirements to travel from time to time both domestically and internationally.


Primary duties include:

·        Responsible for the fleet status and maintenance program of weapon simulators

·        Leading the performance of engineering services and activities

·        Engineering investigations

·        Obsolescence management program

·        Maintaining compliance of the Engineering Management System, based on AS/NZS 15288

·        Review and monitoring of the systems safety program

·        Configuration management activities


We’re looking for candidates that ideally have the following skills and experience:

·        A minimum Certificate III in systems, software or computing engineering

·        At least 3 years’ experience in a technical role

·        Laser Safety Officer level 1

·        Excellent communication skills

·        A collaborative and supportive team leader

·        Skilled at using computer systems and Microsoft Office 365 suite

·        Highly motivated with a passion for technology and electronics
