About this role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HR professional to join the HPCA’s People and Engagement team as the HR Advisor.   • Having difficulties coping, adjusting to prison, or in transition to release.  

The Prison Counsellor is responsible for applying discipline specific professional knowledge, experience, and skills to provide evidence based clinical assessment and intervention services in response to psychological health needs of prisoners. Prison Counsellors provide consultation and participate in multi-disciplinary risk management processes and case management meetings.

Within metropolitan prisons there are flexible working arrangements with the opportunity for weekend shifts and part-time rosters.

If appointed, there is scope to be transferred to regional prison positions where you will be provided with an opportunity to live and work in regional, rural and remote WA knowing you will be professionally supported through clinical and line supervision, the state wide PHS team, and as a member of the prison staff.

This role is crucial for supporting the Garage Manager and technical trade staff, ensuring their success while fostering a positive, productive, and Zero Harm work environment.

This is a technical leadership role with minimal "hands-on tools" tasks, where you will lead and manage a team of mechanics, apprentices, coach builders, and auto electricians.

As part of this role you will:

  • oversee compliance with maintenance standards, procedures, systems, process and work instructions
  • manage operational responsibilities including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations and professional development of staff

About the opportunity:
We are seeking highly motivated Senior Project Officers to join our Project Implementation Branch.

Join our team to play a pivotal role in the development, deployment, and management of renewable energy projects which drive the resilient, sustainable, and equitable transformation of South Australia's energy system and accelerate South Australia's clean energy transformation.

You will:

  • Provide project management support to deliver nominated projects, including their design and development, planning, and monitoring.

  • Conduct complex research and analysis to support policy and program development.

  • Contribute to communications and marketing activities with a direct-to-consumer focus.

  • Evaluate program effectiveness through data collection, verification, and reporting of trends and outcomes.

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience of project management principles, their application, and use of project management tools and templates.

  • Research, Analytical & Investigative Skills: Conducting complex technical research, with proven ability to summarise sensitive issues and develop strategic solutions.

  • Communication & Collaboration: High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in teams and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Sector & Technical Knowledge: Experience and knowledge of the energy market would be highly advantageous.

Desirable qualifications:
Tertiary qualification(s) encompassing Project Management, Business Administration, and/or Public Policy would be advantageous.

Remuneration:
ASO6 salary range $98,478 - $104,165 per annum + superannuation
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week

Special Conditions:
Immediate vacancy is a term contract position up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
