This exciting role will see you promoting public trust and confidence in Tribunal decision-making by publishing decisions in a privacy-compliant and efficient manner, influencing policies and systems, and managing a small dynamic professional team. 

The Assistant Director, Decisions Publication leads the development of policy and guidance, manages the high-level work program and staff of the Decisions Publication team and provides advice to senior management. The role also collaborates with other teams and contributes to the development of decisions publication software, case management and other online systems and processes.

About you:

You will be experienced in developing and providing advice and recommendations to senior management to promote compliance and best practice and be able to think strategically and exercise sound judgement and initiative to promptly address issues and improve decision publication governance and processes.

To be successful you will have:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Tribunal’s decisions publication-related legislative, policy and procedural frameworks, or ability to gain such knowledge.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, including resource planning, performance management and capability development.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing authoritative, researched advice, guidance and recommendations on case management systems, and decisions publication policy, procedures and issues that support efficiency, compliance and best practice.
  • Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including an ability to convey technical and complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence change, manage projects and achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgement and take initiative to implement opportunities for improvement or new ways of working.

Essential: 

  • Experience publishing legal decisions/judgements.
  • Experience leading a team that ensures legal material complies with legislative, policy and procedural requirements
  • The Tribunal requires Australian Citizenship as a condition of engagement.
  • All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and complete a health declaration.

  • Partner with project team to ensure procurement processes are completed within agreed timeframes, are compliant with legislation, encourage quality, maximise value and manage risk.
  • Support the program in its workforce and contract management requirements.
  • Provide expert, timely and strategic advice and support on Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Frameworks including the DTA and IT sourcing arrangements and policies. Coordinate end-to-end procurement processes and documentation in collaboration with Program team members.
  • Provide specialist procurement and contract management advice and assistance to project teams, evaluation committees and senior executives. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders, including ensuring terms align with company objectives.
  • Manages and maintains appropriate contract records and registers and ensures contract expenditure and expiry dates are proactively managed.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams for contract revisions. Monitor contract compliance, ensuring terms and conditions are adhered to.
Essential criteria
  • Strong understanding of Government and Commonwealth Procurement Rules, particularly for digital and ICT sourcing within the Australian Government.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including documentation, evaluations, contract negotiation and finalisation.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to manage procurement and contracts, resolve issues, and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Demonstrated capability in contract governance and risk management, including compliance monitoring, risk tracking, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

NT Health’s Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) is a specialist, multi-disciplinary service that provides treatment and support to women and families identified as at risk of or having moderate to severe perinatal mental health disorders.

Currently CYMHS has a vacancy in Alice Springs for a Mental Health professional with demonstrated experience and experience in perinatal mental health care and an advanced level of clinical skills with extensive knowledge of professional standards, clinical practices, and mental health service provision.

As a Senior Specialist Mental Health Worker (P3) your key duties include providing mental health assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic support, to women and families identifies as having moderate to severe perinatal mental health disorder. You will participate in the development of collaborative care plans, provide clinical leadership, liaison and consultancy services, and work collaboratively to develop solid partnerships with health care professionals and community organisations.

Ideally, you will be an accomplished MH Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist with registration to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be eligible for membership of the Australian Psychological Society and looking for an opportunity to support women and families identified at risk of perinatal mental health disorder. Demonstrated experience delivering Perinatal Care and/or Mental Health Services with extensive knowledge of professional standards, clinical practices and mental health service provisions is essential.

This hybrid role within the Corporate Services branch at The Administrative Review Tribunal can be located in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney. This position is available primarily on a full-time ongoing basis however non-ongoing can also be considered.

Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is EL1 $117,665 - $138,493 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

About the opportunity

This exciting role will see you promoting public trust and confidence in Tribunal decision-making by publishing decisions in a privacy-compliant and efficient manner, influencing policies and systems, and managing a small dynamic professional team. 

The Assistant Director, Decisions Publication leads the development of policy and guidance, manages the high-level work program and staff of the Decisions Publication team and provides advice to senior management. The role also collaborates with other teams and contributes to the development of decisions publication software, case management and other online systems and processes.

About you:

You will be experienced in developing and providing advice and recommendations to senior management to promote compliance and best practice and be able to think strategically and exercise sound judgement and initiative to promptly address issues and improve decision publication governance and processes.

To be successful you will have:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Tribunal’s decisions publication-related legislative, policy and procedural frameworks, or ability to gain such knowledge.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, including resource planning, performance management and capability development.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing authoritative, researched advice, guidance and recommendations on case management systems, and decisions publication policy, procedures and issues that support efficiency, compliance and best practice.
  • Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including an ability to convey technical and complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence change, manage projects and achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgement and take initiative to implement opportunities for improvement or new ways of working.

Essential: 

  • Experience publishing legal decisions/judgements.
  • Experience leading a team that ensures legal material complies with legislative, policy and procedural requirements
  • The Tribunal requires Australian Citizenship as a condition of engagement.
  • All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and complete a health declaration.

About the role
