About the role:

The Senior Retention Officer will focus on ensuring an increase in client retention by supporting their placements through the day-to-day timely management of quality and consistent Post Placement Support (PPS). The position will provide this support through various methods including online and in person at the client’s workplace. This position responds to clients’ requests and enquiries, offering advice and support to ensure the sustainability of their employment. This position also builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, linking clients with supports to ensure all employment outcomes are achieved. 

Where a client’s employment may be in jeopardy, the Senior Retention Officer will alert, liaise with and mentor other employees to support the employer and client to help achieve a positive outcome on the journey to sustainable employment outcomes.

The Senior Retention Officer will liaise with the AMES Australia Sites, employers and clients to follow up on declaration of earnings and report under-declaration of earnings to the relevant Government Department.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar position
  • A working knowledge and strong understanding of employment support services, specifically for refugee cohorts, clients from a CALD background, clients who identify as ATSI or CALD clients with disability, and the challenges and barriers they face
  • Strong verbal and written communication and problem solving skills, including the ability to advocate on behalf of the client, to influence key stakeholders and to overcome objections from clients and employers
  • Demonstrated strong administration and organisational skills including the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills including the ability to mentor and train others, and to work effectively with people across all levels of an organisation
  • Good customer service skills with the ability to keep the client’s needs at the centre 
  • Solid computer literacy including the ability to use Microsoft applications and other administrative systems / databases
  • Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to adapt to change, including to learn new systems and processes as needed
  • Proven experience working in a team environment 
  • Ability to interpret and understand policy and process information
  • Where relevant - understanding different types of disabilities including physical, intellectual, sensory and mental health disabilities, as well as developmental disorders
  • It is a mandatory requirement for the position holder to have and maintain a current Working With Children Check (for employment purposes)

About the role

Mater Revenue Assurance Team is currently seeking a Coding Optimisation Officer to join our team in this permanent, full-time position based at South Brisbane.

The Coding Optimisation Officer will be responsible for conducting coding optimisation and clinical documentation improvement activities, with a focus on engaging effectively with clinicians across the Mater Group. The role works closely with Clinical Documentation Specialists and the Clinical Coding Service to develop, implement and evaluate clinical documentation improvement initiatives, aimed at DRG optimisation.

Salary range: $61.20 - $65.56 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

The key responsibilities of the role include (but not limited to):

  • Perform concurrent review of clinical documentation for targeted cases, including audits to clarify diagnoses and procedures and validate DRG assignment.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise coding and identify missed revenue opportunities associated with clinical documentation, coding and DRG allocation
  • Continuously improve clinical documentation and coding accuracy through coding optimisation activities.
  • Support initiatives that foster clinician engagement to enhance real-time, high quality clinical documentation for improved coding and DRG outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Coding Service to address documentation deficits impacting the coding process
  • Conduct data analysis related to coding and DRG data
  • Collaborate with coding advisory bodies to find solutions for challenging coding scenarios and queries
  • Maintain a register of review activities and provide monthly reports to the Manager of Clinical Coding Service
  • Stay updated on changes in clinical practice that may affect patient complexity
  • Assist in developing educational materials and resources related to clinical documentation and coding data

About you

The successful candidate must have completion of approved medical terminology and clinical coding qualifications in addition to the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Completion of a clinical coding qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Advanced ability and competent use of ICD-10-AM classification system for accurate clinical coding
  • Experience in clinical coding within an acute hospital setting, preferably in both public and private sectors
  • Advanced knowledge and application of Australian Coding Standards
  • Strong understanding of inpatient funding, hospital Casemix, and Diagnosis Related Groups
  • Ability to efficiently conduct clinical coding audits, analyse results, and provide recommendations
  • Proficiency in using information systems and software, including patient administration systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with staff at all levels

The Advisor will create and manage multi-channel promotional initiatives to drive awareness, engagement, and attendance at Council-led events and festivals.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Develop and deliver tactical marketing, communications, and branding initiatives for key city events, festivals and programs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to promote Council services and initiatives, building strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Deliver marketing and promotional activities with a data-driven and digital first mindset, optimising communications, content and creative development suitable for multiple channel applications.
  • Provide insights derived from the collection, analysis and reporting of relevant statistics, industry trends, performance indicators and other evaluation data.
  • Create high-quality, multi-channel content (web, social, email, publications) to inspire and inform our diverse audiences.
  • Champion Parramatta's competitive identity, driving engagement and advocacy among residents, visitors, and businesses.

About You

The successful candidate is a strategic and creative marketing professional with a passion for delivering impactful events, communications, and promotional initiatives.

They will have a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations or other, related field.

You will also bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in marketing and communications, ideally in events or destination marketing.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong writing, content creation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in analytics and reporting.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and copyright skills - ability to translate between technical, creative and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, build relationships and influence others with an engaging approach and technique.

The Role & The Team

As the Training Delivery Lead for the CMATS transition, you will lead the planning and delivery of training for air traffic controllers, supervisors, and support staff. Your work will ensure a smooth and safe shift to the new CMATS system, with training aligned to regulatory standards. You will guide strategy, support change, and help integrate CMATS across the workforce.

This role requires an experienced leader with strong expertise in aviation training, regulatory compliance, and operational change. Success will also depend on your ability to engage stakeholders and lead teams effectively. Your contribution will be key to delivering the broader goals of the OneSKY Australia Program.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic training for CMATS and Sydney TCU, partnering with senior leaders to ensure around 700 staff are ready to operate safely and effectively, with training aligned to national airspace goals, program timelines, and Airservices’ broader transformation strategy.
  • Lead and oversee all CMATS transition training activities, managing risks, ensuring high performance, and aligning training with project goals, timelines, budgets, and broader organisational objectives.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including the CMATS Program Director and leadership teams, to ensure training outcomes directly support organisational and program schedule and budget.
  • Act as the primary executive interface for all Sydney-based training transformation matters, advising program and organisational leadership on training risk, delivery confidence and workforce readiness

  • Deep understanding of aviation training rules (CASR Parts 65, 143, 172) and competency-based training, with hands-on experience using them in real-world operations.
  • Strong skills in working with senior leaders and government officials, with experience managing training and change in complex, high-pressure environments.
  • Experienced in leading collaborative teams, managing complex issues, and balancing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail, quality, and compliance.
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in Aviation, Management, Training, Education or related disciplines
  • OJTI qualification (desirable)
  • ATSWpA qualification (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
