We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the team at Terminus Apartments Newcastle as a Hotel Receptionist. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities:

As a Hotel Receptionist, you'll be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including:

  • Accommodation services: Processing reservations, checking guests in and out, handling guest enquiries and requests, and ensuring all guests are warmly welcomed throughout their stay.

  • Front desk management: Ensuring that the front desk runs smoothly and efficiently. Providing administrative support to our management team.

  • Guest services: Anticipate guest needs and deliver prompt, efficient, and polished service when responding to guest requests.

  • Team communication: Effectively communicate and liaise with all departments, particularly housekeeping, and understand the importance of teamwork within hotel operations.

  • Issue resolution: Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.

  • Facility knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and promotions to effectively assist and inform guests.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in hotel reception/customer service/hospitality.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • An ability to work under pressure in a team environment.

The Opportunity:

The Role

This is a casual Guest Services Officer position, located at Reflections Holidays, Jimmys Beach.

The purpose of the role is to carry out guest services duties within the park, provide excellent customer service experience every time, and represent Reflections Holidays in a positive manner.

Key responsibilities of a Guest Services Officer include:

  • Provide exceptional customer service including liaising with guests face to face; via telephone and internet for bookings, enquiries, and complaints.
  • Have RMS, Newbook or similar reservations system experience.
  • Undertake general office duties, banking, and cleaning of office/kiosk.
  • Prepare correspondence, record keeping of all mail and carry out filing in accordance with procedures.
  • Assist Park Manager and Supervisors with the opening and closing of office and kiosk/store.
  • Receiving and dispensing of monies via computerised point of sale register.
  • Assist Supervisor with stock take and invoicing for kiosk, store, cabin, office, and cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Assist and direct visitors within the park and as they enter the park.
  • Assist Guest Services Supervisor in social media administration at park level as required.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience in:

  • Delivering excellent customer service.
  • Administration or front office reception.
  • Using a booking/reservations system.
