Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 1years hospitality experience in a restaurant/bar of similar calibre
Be able to demonstrate excellent food & beverage knowledge, and also an understanding of wine service
High calibre of hospitality and customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Be well presented at all times, have a great worth ethic and have a proven ability to perform under pressure
Current RSA Certificate
Flexible with shifts and available weekends

The Bryan Education Foundation is collaborating with the sector to co-design and establish a new organisation (a Queensland Early Years Workforce Institute) dedicated to strengthening the knowledge, skills, and depth of Queensland’s early years workforce — a core action under the Queensland Early Childhood Workforce Strategy 2023-2027.
Until September 2026, will see The Bryan Education Foundation lead the development of the new independent entity, co-designing how and what the Institute will focus on, and trial some workforce planning and development initiatives.
About the roleThe Operations & Events Manager will establish and manage the Institute's operational systems, governance processes, compliance records, and event delivery during the establishment phase.
The role provides executive and governance support to the Project Director and Advisory Council, ensuring efficient planning and delivery of events, workshops, and forums. It also supports the scoping and design of, for transition to independent systems as the organisation moves to full operational status.

Qualification in administration, business, or related field
Experience contributing to or developing operational policies and governance procedures.
A current open driver's licence is required.
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa for Australia
Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) as required in Queensland
Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in office management, finance, HR, operations, or event coordination roles, ideally within complex or multi-stakeholder environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with project management or event management software
Attractive salary + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Access to DGR1 salary packaging — package up to $15,900 (everyday expenses) and $2,650 (meals/entertainment), giving up to $7,000 in additional take-home pay (depending on your personal circumstances).
Flexible working arrangements
Part time arrangements can also be considered, salary to be prorated accordingly

About the Role:
