As a Care Facilitator (Lawns and Garden) servicing clients in the Central Coast, Mid North Coast, Central West, Far North Coast, ACT and Wagga areas, you will assist clients and their families to engage in Lawn Mowing and Gardening services, enabling them to remain living in their home. You will manage a small team of Lawn and Gardening employees and be prepared to travel to regional areas monthly, with overnight stays required.

A typical day will include:

  • A combination of visiting clients in the community who have been referred for help at home and working from our office located in Prestons
  • Participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of services and programs that meet clients’ lawn and garden needs
  • Developing relationships with families, staff and contractors
  • Implementation of best practice and evidence-based approaches for lawn and garden care including working closely with contractors

What do we need from you?

You will need to be comfortable working independently in the community, have excellent verbal communication skills and have an empathetic, patient and caring nature.

This role does require you to have:

  • Background/Knowledge of Landscaping &/or Horticulture 
  • A valid driver licence
  • Intermediate level of computer skills
  • Proven experience managing a small team of lawn and garden workers
  • Proven experience working with budget and service delivery parameters
  • Experience with aged care or demonstrated transferrable skills will be highly regarded

A company vehicle is optional and you will be supplied with a mobile phone and laptop.

Sodexo has a vacant position for an Electrical Compliance Supervisor to join our team in the Pilbara working an 8:6 FIFO roster on a permanent, full time basis.

The main role of an Electrical Compliance Supervisor is an exciting and challenging role to ensure that electrical compliance on all sites within their region is met and up to date. An Electrical Compliance Supervisor also performs electrical training, wanding training, electrical shock investigations, mine site logbook management and Nominee duties within the business. They are responsible for the statutory compliance of the electrical installation and quality of workmanship of the electrical trades working across their region.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification as an electrician; supported by current A grade Electrical License.

  • Electrical contractors license or nominee qualification

  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate

  • Strong safety awareness and hazard consciousness

  • Relevant tertiary/trade qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Mechanic working across a range of areas including, but not limited to, commercial construction sites, mine sites and breakdown maintenance

  • Strong communication skills

  • Technical knowledge of hard FM services

  • Sound Knowledge of Current Australian Standards, Rules and Regulations

  • Ability to perform well under pressure and with competing priorities.

 To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Sound knowledge and demonstrated experience in turf management practices and equipment use in a local government or sports turf environment.

  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team member, exercising initiative and judgement whilst working with minimal supervision.

  • Proven ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes within specified timeframes

  • Good customer service and teamwork skills to be able to maintain positive working relationships with our diverse workforce and community.

 

Essential requirements

  • Current MR driver’s licence

  • White Card

  • National Police Clearance (no more than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.

Operator tickets for operating machinery such as Loader, Forklift and Chainsaw will be well regarded.
