Rental Hire Assistant / Yard Coordinator Dual Role - Immediate Start!
Miniquip Hire is seeking a Rental Hire Assistant / Yard Coordinator Dual Role to join our dynamic team in Forrestdale, who has had previous experience. This is a full time role position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our depot and fleet of equipment. We take great pride in the presentation of our machines and yard. The employee would work closely with the Fleet Controllers, Workshop and Wash Bay to keep the area and operations flowing efficiently.
What you'll be doing:
YARD
Organising and maintaining an efficient layout of the hire equipment and other materials to ensure a safe and tidy work environment.
Conducting Pre-Hire and Off-Hire Inspections when equipment goes out and is returned.
Assisting truck drivers with load/unload of deliveries
Assisting customers with equipment handovers and load/unload of pickups
Assisting wash bay with cleaning of returned machinery, when required.
Delivery and collection of equipment (if holding a HR license)
Fixing minor issues in workshop
OFFICE
Taking calls and managing bookings
Quoting jobs
Liaising with customers to organise deliveries/collections
Greeting clients and ensuring contracts/paperwork is thoroughly completed
Taking payments and finalising invoices
Communicating with other yard hands, wash bay and truck drivers to keep operations running smoothly.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in equipment hire role (preferred but not essential)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Great communication and customer service skills
Physically fit and capable candidate
Forklift license, HR License and experience moving machinery highly advantageous
A positive, proactive and team orientated attitude

Required for deliveries from Ocean Keys to Mandurah driving a 8 meter truck with tail lift
Duties include
To pack and Wrap furniture and fittings with pads and blankets to prevent damage
To deliver and unload furniture and fitting to sites
To collect items from supplies using pallet trolleys and fork lifts
To load truck to loading inventory
Must have
The ability to lift and move heavy items for extended periods.
The ability to handle fragile items without damage
The ability to plan the most efficient way to pack items into the truck.
The ability to communicate with staff and customers verbally and by communication devices .

MRWA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA)
Fatigue Management
Regional depot driver compliance

Maintain and update compliance records and systems
Conduct transport and driver compliance audits
