Sands Fridge Lines (SFL), a trusted name in refrigerated logistics for over 40 years, is seeking a motivated and experienced Transport Compliance Officer to join our team. This is a key role focused on safety, skill development, and maintaining our strong industry reputation.

About the Role

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective, compliant, and manageable Transport Safety & Compliance systems across the business. Your work ensures legislative and organisational requirements are met, risks are identified and mitigated, and our drivers receive high-quality, competency-based training and compliance awareness.

Key focus areas:

• MRWA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA)

• Fatigue Management

• Regional depot driver compliance

You will monitor compliance across all heavy vehicle transport operations, identify non-compliance issues, and coordinate corrective actions in collaboration with management and supervisory teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update compliance records and systems

• Conduct transport and driver compliance audits

• Develop and review driver manuals and SOPs

• Monitor compliance with company policies, OHS requirements, and MRWA HVA modules

• Investigate heavy vehicle incidents and recommend corrective actions

• Coordinate internal and external audits

• Liaise with stakeholders and regulatory authorities

• Identify and implement process improvements

About You

• Qualifications in Quality Management, or equivalent industry experience.

• Demonstrable exposure and understanding of WAHVA & quality compliance practices in transport

• Experience implementing and monitoring Quality Management Systems

• Skilled in internal/external audits and compliance investigations

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

• Transport and distribution experience required
