We have an opportunity for a process worker to join our team of casuals as a Production Wash Bay Operator.

Location: Virginia, QLD. Easily accessible, with ample on-site secured parking and public transport

Hourly Rate: $35.87 - $40.55

Shifts Available: 2pm to 10pm & 10pm to 6am (afternoon or night shift)
Monday to Friday, ongoing 40h per week on a casual basis

What you'll do:

  • Operate wash bay equipment to clean and sanitize production machinery parts, containers, and tools.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and cleaning schedules to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Inspect equipment before and after cleaning to ensure cleanliness and report any damage or wear.
  • Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash bay area.
  • Complete cleaning logs and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Assist with equipment setup and changeovers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams to coordinate cleaning schedules.
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

What we are looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a wash bay, sanitation, or industrial cleaning role preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, and work in wet or humid environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.

Position Overview

 

We are seeking a Packaging Manager to lead all packaging development and commercialisation activities for our Australian business. This critical role spans Consumer, Flavour Solutions, CCI, and PLP initiatives, providing technical leadership across new product development, packaging innovation, sustainability, APCo compliance, and operational troubleshooting.


You will ensure packaging performance and reliability through close collaboration with Operations, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, and global packaging partners. Additionally, you will act as the key Australian contact supporting North America and APAC packaging projects linked to our Palmwoods and Clayton manufacturing sites.


Key responsibilities include;


  • Lead end-to-end packaging development for Australian NPD, EPD, artwork, and CCI projects.

  • Own Australia’s packaging component of global/regional projects (IML tubes, pots, new formats) and manage factory trials and qualification.

  • Deliver APCo Action Plan, annual reporting, and PLP sustainability targets.

  • Manage recyclability assessments, PCR integration, material changes, and supplier sustainability programs.

  • Maintain all packaging specifications for Australia and oversee testing, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Partner with Procurement, QA, SC, Marketing, and Operations to deliver packaging solutions and cost-improvement initiatives.

  • Represent Australia in global packaging forums and share learnings across regions.

  • Provide coaching and development to packaging technologists or contractors and improve systems and processes (Smartsheet, SAP RD, PLM).


Ideal Candidate 


You are a technical leader with a passion for packaging innovation and sustainability. You thrive in cross-functional environments and have strong project management skills to deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.


What you’ll bring;


  • Degree in Packaging, Engineering, Food Technology, or related discipline.

  • Proven experience in packaging development and commercialisation within FMCG or food manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, sustainability practices, and APCo compliance.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skills.

  • Ability to lead trials, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain rigorous quality standards.

  • Familiarity with SAP, PLM systems, and specification management.
