We are seeking a friendly and reliable Bus Driver to join our Cardinal Freeman community in Ashfield and play an important role in supporting resident independence, connection and wellbeing.
About the Role
As our Bus Driver, you’ll provide a safe, comfortable and professional transport service for residents, operating the village bus in line with the established timetable. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll build strong relationships and help residents stay engaged with the wider community.
You will be responsible for:
- Safely driving the village bus on scheduled routes
- Assisting residents when boarding and disembarking
- Completing passenger registers accurately
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Reporting mechanical or safety issues promptly
- Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive interactions with residents, families and staff
- Supporting a culture of safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement
About You
You are safety-focused, community-minded and confident interacting with residents in a warm, respectful and professional manner. You take pride in delivering a reliable service and supporting the smooth operation of the village.
You will bring:
- A C-class driver’s licence and clean driving record
- Good physical capability (including the ability to lift/move up to 15kg)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and show initiative
- Commitment to dignity, respect and Levande’s values
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience in retirement living, community transport, hospitality, public services or similar is welcomed but not essential.
