About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to work with a company that values quality, precision, and continuous improvement.
You'll be responsible for operating press brake machinery to manufacture components to specification, working from technical drawings, and ensuring all products meet our exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities• Set up, program and operate brake press machines to form, bend and shape sheet metal components
• Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and production schedules
• Perform quality inspections and dimensional checks throughout production
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Work safely and follow all WHS procedures
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
About You• Demonstrated experience operating press brake or similar metal forming equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
• Good understanding of sheet metal properties and tolerances
• Trade qualification in sheet metal or fabrication (highly regarded)
• Forklift licence desirable (but not essential)
