Your New Role!
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Exercise Science to join our team. In this role you are expected to contribute to the research, teaching and service/leadership requirements of the School and University. Your appointment to Level C or D will depend on your ability to demonstrate research activity, contemporary teaching practices and service/leadership experience commensurate with the appointment level.
You will be expected to coordinate units, develop and deliver both lectures/workshops and hands-on laboratory classes and manage assessments. In addition to teaching, you will have the opportunity to conduct impactful research in physical activity, sport or exercise focusing on athletes, healthy individuals, or clinical/older adult populations. It is also expected that the successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to produce high quality and competitive grant applications. Active participation in committees and working groups, contributing to the wider discipline and university community will also be expected.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about both education and research, ready to make a significant contribution to the field of Exercise Science.

Face-to-face tutoring on-site and can be flexible with some online tutoring if illness/COVID19 prevents onsite attendance for tutors and/or students. This is on a case-by-case basis.
We do not offer remote tutoring. Staff tutor at our centre in Drouin, VIC.

STEM Zone is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and weekends by appointment.

The Successful candidate will be:
Able to start immediately for Term 1 or as soon as practicable.
Able to foster positive relationships with young people and inspire them to find their own passion and direction.
Have the right to work in Australia and be available to work on-site.
Qualifications:
Current teachers will have their VIT registration.
Pre-service teachers and retirees will have their WWCC
Current Working with Children Check is desirable but can be obtained before starting the role.
