1. Civil Supervisor – Pavement Stabilisation

2. Civil Supervisor – Road Construction (Major Project)

• Focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

3. Civil Supervisor – Port & Intersection Projects (Contract)

• Work across a port upgrade and two DTMR intersection projects.

Position

The Design Manager is a project leadership role focused on high voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) infrastructure projects. These span transmission lines, substations, and power systems across the utility, industrial, and renewable sectors. This role blends technical excellence with team leadership, delivering constructible, cost effective, and sustainable designs that meet project scope, budget, and schedule. The Design Manager leads inclusive, multidisciplinary teams, supports career growth, fosters innovation, and drives continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong leadership role with potential to grow and develop
• Responsible for overseeing and managing the design team, requiring strategic thinking with excellent design expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and creativity.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8 years leading engineering teams in HV/MV systems and infrastructure (132kV
• and above)
• Ideally a 5 years of fieldwork, supporting hands-on engineering and site collaboration.
• Exposure to Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor and/or TNSP experience is highly regarded
• Proven leadership experience in nurturing internal teams and cross-functional communication.
• Knowledge of constructability, systems integration, and technical governance.
• Experience with standards like IEC, IEEE, AS/NZS and a strong safety-first mindset.

• Assume responsibility for the technical leadership of structural engineering outcomes for the business
• Strengthen relationships with key clients through collective problem solving and innovation
• Plan and modify standards/processes for the remediation of complex bridge structures within the client environment
• Provide technical management and mentoring of junior staff members 
• Provide technical consultation into the construction team for full bridge and superstructure renewals
• Lead the development of a fully integrated design and construct offering for the market
• Participate in and deliver of papers and research at conferences in conjunction with clients on management of structures across Australia

• Circa 15+ years of experience as a Bridge Engineer
• Chartered Engineer Status (CPEng or equivalent)
• Proven experience working with transport infrastructure operators
• Strong and extensive technical design and analysis experience on a broad range of bridges
• Demonstrated expertise in deteriorated structures within the infrastructure market
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• VicRoads Accredited Proof Engineer (Desirable)

Saab Australia is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration - Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement (CSI-IPT CCA). The CSI-IPT CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). This will see independently executed programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 brought under one umbrella enterprise organisation, the CSI-IPT.

The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from three industry participants and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.

The CSI-IPT Combat Systems Senior AI Technician will operate as part of the broader engineering team within the DDG Combat Systems Test Team. They will work in a collaborative partnership with both the customer (CoA) and internally with DDG engineering teams to ensure implementation and verification of the DDG Combat System.

Further, the successful candidate will:

• Provide technical support for the Australian Interface (AI) and its associated equipment operations and maintenance
• Contribute to assuring AI elements are activated, operational, available and properly configured to support testing events
• Perform a wide range of activities that support the operation, maintenance and configuration of AI
• Identify faults, isolate and repair any AI equipment
• Identify and resolve equipment and documentation discrepancies
• Assist test performance activities with collection and analysis of system performance data
• Utilise test equipment, tools, optical aids and other techniques during troubleshooting, maintenance and equipment repair process
• Ensure compliance with maintenance management process including authorisation, conduct, recording and verification tasks as required.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

Your skills and experience will include:

• Certificate III or above in a relevant discipline (e.g. electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science/engineering, electrical instrumentation, communications engineering, engineering technical) and/or equivalent relevant experience
• Conducting fault detection/fault isolation procedures and perform maintenance/repair
• Supporting preventative and demand maintenance techniques and their practical application to complex problems
• Directing and mentoring personnel in operation and maintenance
• Researching technical manuals, specifications and drawings
• Adapting current skills, knowledge and experience to evolving technology
• Knowledge of operational and maintenance aspects of combat management system(s)
• Clear verbal and writing communication
• A strong ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
• Investigating issues methodologically with a focus on drawing out quality solutions.

We’re seeking a Site Engineer with strong asphalt and profiling experience to join the Paraburdoo Airport Overlay Project team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, nightshift environment and enjoys hands-on project delivery.

• Maintain QA records and support inspections in line with project and client requirements.

• Assist with NCR management and close-out.

• Coordinate tack coat management and verify field compliance with AfPA and CASA MOS 139 requirements.

• Support survey activities including coring, stratification, and random test placement.

• Prepare and maintain ITPs, manage hold/witness points, and coordinate asphalt testing.

• Validate survey profiles and levels for runway, taxiway, and apron works.

• Interface with subcontractors to ensure activities meet specification and schedule.

• Provide inputs for QA status reporting, environmental data, and daily progress tracking.

• Support dayworks, claims, and variations.

• Check supply mid-swing and end-of-swing to confirm raw materials are sufficient.

• Assist in preparing construction methodologies and roster reviews prior to submission.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in asphalt, profiling, or airport pavement works.
