Position Profile

What You will Be Doing:

  • Leading a team of two Technical Officers
  • Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure assets (e.g., roads, drainage, bridges, culverts, footpaths, kerbs).
  • Identify, assess, and document asset defects and condition.
  • Maintain accurate records in Council's asset management systems.
  • Ensure inspections align with relevant standards (e.g. TMR, RMPC).
  • Analyse inspection findings to prioritise maintenance and renewal works.

  • Support the development of long-term asset management plans.
  • Provide technical input into capital works planning and lifecycle costing.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function for the KBT Project. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and strategic alignment of all technical outputs throughout the project lifecycle.
As the lead technical authority, you will oversee a multi-disciplinary engineering effort, personally assess and analyse engineering designs, and progressively manage a growing engineering team. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external design providers, and industry suppliers to ensure the project meets its technical, operational, and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the technical delivery of the KBT Project, ensuring all engineering outputs meet project requirements and quality standards.

  • Review and validate engineering designs to ensure they are fit for purpose and aligned with the project’s business case.

The opportunity

We are in the market for a highly skilled and motivated Projects Manager to manage the City’s major and minor capital works contracts and provide project management services.

Reporting to the Manager Project Management, this role will be responsible for managing civil and building contracts and projects, including:

  • leading internal groups and expert consultants;
  • coordinating the design process from concept schematic drawings to construction contract documentation;
  • providing quality infrastructure project management services to the organisation, including timely and budget sensitive delivery of key capital works projects and other projects;
  • effectively managing major capital investment works projects and minor capital works projects by facilitating multi-disciplinary teams and providing advice on strategic commercial and project issues;

  • A minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a project management role (or similar)

About the Role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing heavy vehicles and trailers, including side loaders. This position suits someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has strong diagnostic ability, and enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers

What We’re Looking For

Job description:

Your Opportunity

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) in Avionics plays a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of avionics components and systems for one or more of the trade areas: Electronics (Radio & Autopilot systems); Instrument (Gyro, Indicating and Pitot Static systems); and Electrical (Battery Servicing).

This position involves working in a controlled laboratory style workshop environment, where the AME performs intricate diagnostics, repairs, and testing on avionics components. The Avionics AME collaborates with supervisors, maintenance support personnel, and other technicians and engineers to ensure avionics components are restored to optimal performance standards and contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of systems.

Annual Salary from AUD$92,088 TO $119,714 + Super + Bonus.

Your Responsibilities
  • Work with the Crew Leaders to foster a sense of ‘Safety First' within the technical workforce.
  • Maintain good relationships with the customer.
  • Report and raise any observations, through the appropriate process, with regard to continuous improvement, safety management and customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for the creation and updating of work orders in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for the write-up and sign-off of work completed each day.
  • Contribute to the request and management of tooling during projects within the hangar.
  • Contribute to hangar facility and general project housekeeping in line with 5S Program.
  • Contribute towards the identification and reporting of all OHS issues through Jet Aviation Safety Management System (Jet Safe).
  • Monitor the use of tooling; ensuring that the tagging system is being used correctly with assigned individual tags.
  • Monitor the notification of employee non-compliance as well as notification of own non-compliance.
  • Other duties as may be directed by your supervisor to support both Company and Customer success.
  • Contribute towards the request of employee overtime when necessary.
  • Contribute to hand-over at end of every shift.
  • Assist with monitoring of activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Accountable for confirming daily planner input and updates as required.
  • Contribute towards the request, management and removal (un-issue) of spares during projects.
  • Advise Supervising Hangar Engineers of work progress to be communicated to the HOC.
  • Monitor the identification of ASR's with Supervising Hangar Engineers.
  • Other duties as may be directed to ensure operational and customer success.
  • Actively participate in the Quality and Safety Management System applications.
  • Ensure FOD control procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure OH & S/WHS requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensure GSE is serviceable and report any defects or deficiencies.
  • Ensure Approved Maintenance Data used is current and applicable.
  • Ensure Tool control requirements are adhered to.
  • Assist with defect analysis and investigations.
  • Carry out aircraft washing and associated corrosion control inspection.
  • Carry out aircraft towing and repositioning.
  • Carry out aircraft refuelling.
  • Carry out aircraft marshalling in accordance with standard aviation industry signals.
  • Work with the Quality and Aviation Safety Manager in the maintenance of Quality and Aviation Safety responsibilities including participation in audits, technical investigations as it applies to ‘Human Factors in Maintenance'.
What will help you to Succeed
  • Relevant trade qualification including but not limited to Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) or other relevant Electronics / Avionics field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in component level repairs on electronic and electro-mechanical aeronautical product including soldering, testing, replacing and fault finding.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
  • Exposure to avionics workshop environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability with positive and proactive attitude.
  • Well-developed trade knowledge in a high-quality customer focused commercial delivery environment.
  • Computer literate at intermediate level preferably including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft systems maintenance, industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems, electronic components, and circuitry.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, multimeters, and other specialised avionics test equipment.
  • Excellent soldering skills and ability to work with intricate components.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with software tools used in avionics diagnostics and testing is a plus.
