Opportunity: The City of Albany’s Developed Reserves Team is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join their team. This role is available from level 3 to 6 dependent on your experience and qualifications.

As part of this role, you will work Monday to Friday on a rostered 9-day fortnight, reporting to the Leading Hand, this position will see you responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Operating and maintaining plant and equipment; tractors, mowers, whipper-snippers and brush-cutters

  • Undertaking manual tasks such as garden maintenance, mowing, pruning and weed spraying responsibly and safely under the direction of your supervisor or team leader

  • Working productively in a collaborative team environment

  • Making technical and operational decisions related to own work

About You: To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following;

  • Previous experience in parks maintenance and machine operation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Basic oral, written and numeracy skills.

  • Basic First Aid

  • Physical fitness capable of undertaking manual labor

The completion of a Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent is required to be considered for levels 4, 5 and 6.

Additional tickets such as, chemical handling, MR or HR licence and traffic management are highly desirable.

ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Business Analysts to support a major Commonwealth regulatory program review. As Senior Strategic Communications Advisor, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering communication strategies that build engagement, strengthen our reputation, and support Landgate’s strategic priorities.  This hands-on role involves writing compelling content for diverse audiences, managing media and stakeholder relationships, and providing trusted communication advice across the organisation.

Both roles require strong writing skills, and a collaborative approach to delivering clear, consistent and engaging communications that reflect Landgate’s values and purpose.

Role Requirements

To be successful in the Digital Communications Officer role, please demonstrate:

  • Good presentation and written communication skills with the ability to write for a range of audiences. 

  • Demonstrated experience in translating design concepts to digital productions  

  • High-level knowledge in the digital communications space including innovations and current technologies and software. 

To be successful in the Senior Strategic Communications Advisor role, please demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in developing, implementing and evaluating communication initiatives that are aligned to agency and broader government goals 

  • Demonstrated ability to build key relationships using your diplomacy, advocacy and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders. 

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple and changing deadlines.  

  • Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to develop solutions to complex problems that result in positive outcomes

Senior Community Development Officer

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery and evaluation of community development strategies and policies.

The Role

The Town of Port Hedland is seeking a proactive and experienced professional to lead the delivery of its Community Safety Plan and related initiatives on a 12 Month Fixed-Term Basis (commencing January 2026). This role plays a key part in enhancing public safety and perception through strategic partnerships, education, and collaboration across all levels of government, industry, and the community.

You'll coordinate multi-agency efforts, support governance groups, and provide expert advice to Council, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Your work will include developing education strategies, managing stakeholder agreements, preparing reports and funding submissions, and evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs.

To succeed, you'll bring strong experience in community safety, crime prevention, or alcohol and drug management, along with excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. A background in policy development, program coordination, and data-driven evaluation will be highly regarded.
