A rural Queensland Roadhouse is seeking an experienced, hard working and "passionate for customer service" Cook to assist with operating a busy Roadhouse in Injune, 550km west of Brisbane, one hour north of Roma, at the gateway to the spectacular Carnarvon Gorge. The role is 11 x cook shifts per fortnight plus an additional one or two hours Management duties (ordering / assisting staff / banking, etc) per day making 90 hours per fortnight. Working Public Holidays and alternate weekends is required.
· $80,000 p.a. fulltime
· 3 bedroom furnished air conditioned on site house available to rent for a subsidised weekly rate of $150. You pay for your own WIFI, electricity and food.
· Immediate Start – early November 2025
The applicant needs to have at least two years experience in short order cooking (Pub style menu), ordering and managing a small team of staff and be willing to learn how to do:
* Front of House ordering (drinks, chocolates, etc),
* Front Counter Roadhouse Attendant
* Counting money, reconciling and banking
* General Office Duties
Retail & Office Manager Duties, included but not limited to:
· Performing Cash Reconciliations and Banking
· Managing Point of Sale system
· Ordering (via email and Websites)
· Stocking shelves, Fridges, Freezers
· Assist in day to day management of the Roadhouse in a hands on capacity.
· Maintain a high level of customer service
· Excellent attention to detail
· Staff training
· Encourage a team environment within the workplace
· Management of stock including receiving stock, stock control, stock ordering and regular stocktakes.
· Assisting with all aspects of the retail section of the roadhouse, stock displays etc.

· Unpacking deliveries, including dating and rotating stock

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Venue Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Club. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring a high standard of service, operational excellence, and compliance with relevant regulations. The Venue Manager will lead and inspire the front-of-house team, coordinate events and activities, and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for staff and patrons.
