Squires Loft Williamstown is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. This full-time role involves preparing and cooking a range of delicious meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Located in the heart of historic Williamstown, our restaurant offers Authentic Australian Cuisine. Blending seaside charm with bold flavours and warm hospitality Squires Loft is known for, we offer an exceptional dining experience.
We’re looking for a dedicated Cook with relevant experience and qualifications who is eager to grow within the business. This position offers excellent opportunities for career progression and potential leadership development.
What you'll be doing
· Preparing and cooking a wide range of menu items to the highest standards
· Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
· Ensuring all food safety and hygiene protocols are followed
· Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravy, sauces and garnishes
· Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
· Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
· May assist to plan menus and estimate food requirements
What we're looking for
· Minimum 1 year experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen environment.
· Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
· Excellent time management and multitasking skills
· Cert III in Commercial Cookery or relevant qualifications.
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
· Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals
· Food safety and hygiene certification
