About the role

Roles and Responsibilities not limited to the following:

  • Assisting the Clients Fixed Plant maintenance teams with in-pit dewatering pump maintenance, operation, relocation as required and requested.
  • Daily inspection of all underground Primary and, if directed, the Contractor's secondary dewatering equipment and locations.
  • Weekly greasing and servicing of all primary dewatering pumps, including washing out of hoppers and wash down of pump stations.
  • Repair and maintenance of all primary dewatering pumps, including managing rotatable units for repair. Managing required tools, spares and stock held on site.
  • Design, manage, and execute preventative maintenance programs involving pump infrastructure.
  • Provide input and advice into the design and placement of dewatering infrastructure and the selection and purchase of dewatering equipment, order parts and set up spares etc
  • Other ad-hoc tasks such as repair and maintenance of grout mixers and pumps, airleg drills and machines, cable tensioners, etc
  • Assisting both Underground and Surface operations where required and be available for call out on Night shift if needed.

About you

  • Preferred Australian recognised Trade Certificate - Mechanical (Machinist, Fixed Plant OR Fitter & Turner).
  • High risk License with Forklift, Dogging and CN Qualifications.
  • Experience operating Franna's and telehandlers.
  • Proven experience in the repairs and maintenance of centrifugal and cavity/helical rotor style Dewatering pumps (Challenge WTx3 pumps)
  • Experience with Poly welding or have the desire and ability to obtain this competency.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting / interpretive skills.
  • Physically fit for the demands of the role

About the Roles   
 
We are currently recruiting the final positions to join our team at MacIntyre Wind Farm. Opportunities for experienced wind technicians who are looking for career progression and longevity on one Australia's most famous wind farms.
 
Reporting directly to the Lead Technicians, you will be part of the core team of service technicians who will ensure that operations and maintenance work is executed safely, to a high standard and with minimal downtime. The Service Technician’s responsibilities are commissioning, fault clearance as well as maintenance of the wind turbines. The roles are based on site full time at the MacIntyre Wind Farm, near Warwick, QLD.
 
Responsibilities
  • Analyse defects with phone-contact to service coordinator
  • Autonomous simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and fault-finding
  • Carry out complex repair processes in collaboration with the Lead Technician
  • With subcontractors, carry out planned maintenance / inspection activities of turbines for compliance with technical specifications and regulations
  • Collecting data and performing tests
  • Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Local Operation Manager
  • Inform customer in case of works on the turbine
  • Carry out repair or exchange of main components
  • Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site
  • Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly
  • Guarantee that tasks are realized with high quality and on time
