Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will be integral part of the expanding team of mining professionals and be a key part of the development of the graduates and students.

Here's what awaits you:

  • Setting out and marking up production drill plans ahead of the drill schedule.
  • Carry out end of month processes for development and stope reconciliation.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Mining Engineer and the Mine Foreman, to ensure the daily and weekly survey priorities align with the operational team.
  • Performing regular Lidar Drone scans and CALS Scans on the open stopes and within the historical areas that require regular scanning.
  • Diamond drilling set outs and collar pickups in line with the geological requirements for grade control and reserve definition drilling programs.
  • Training and mentoring the Surveying Graduates and vacation students in the correct methods and standards for Underground Surveying.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in underground mining.
  • Ability to obtain Mine Surveyors' Certificate Grade One (1).
  • Experience with Deswik Software.
  • Experience with Leica Instruments.
  • Must reside in the Goldfields region, or willing to be relocated for this residential operation.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence.

About the role:

The Asset Management team is currently seeking a Specialist Engineer Communications to join them on a Monday - Friday Roster based at Perth with weekly overnight travel to Port Hedland. Reporting to the Superintendent Infrastructure Engineering, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, governance, and expert support for all rail communications systems, ensuring the development, integration, and ongoing management of robust, secure, and compliant communications infrastructure across the rail network.


Duties:

  • Provide technical leadership and governance for all rail communications systems (including TETRA, Backbone Transmission, WiMAX, Fibre, Radio, Cloud Infrastructure)
  • Develop and maintain architecture, standards, and technology roadmaps for communications infrastructure.
  • Lead the assessment, selection, and integration of new communications technologies and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with cyber security, safety, and regulatory requirements in communications design and operation.
  • Offer expert advice, oversight, and support for projects, operations, maintenance, and complex problem resolution.

  • In-depth knowledge of rail communications systems, including TETRA, backbone transmission, WiMAX, fibre optics, and radio networks.

  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles as they apply to communications systems.

  • Carrying out Integrated Tool carrier operational tasks relating to Electrical and Dewatering daily activities
  • Operation of tools and equipment including elevated work platforms, light vehicles and other hydraulically operated mobile machinery
