The Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team. Based in Cairns, you will need experience across a variety of light and heavy vehicles as well as Earth Moving Equipment. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the company's fleet by carrying out services and repairs to a high standard.
Requirements
Experience in Diesel Fitting
Minimum 3-5 years of diesel fitting experience required
Proficient in undertaking servicing and diagnosing repairs
Ability to work autonomous and complete jobs confidently
Willing to visit remote construction site to complete jobs when required
Valid driver's licence required for site visits
Sound knowledge of a variety of different machinery
Great work ethic and ability to positively influence work culture
Ability to implement SWMS and utilise correct PPE is essential
Position is workshop based
Must be willing to work with and train apprentices

We are seeking experienced Concreter and Concrete Labourer's for various positions with a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience, who can work independently and in a team environment, on large-scale industrial construction projects. If you’ve worked on large slab projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role across multiple sites located south of the river in Perth.
Key Skills and Experience We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years of experience in large-format commercial/industrial slab placement
Proficient in:
Site preparation
Levelling, spreading, reinforcing, and finishing concrete
Forming and installing concrete panels
Ride-on trowel machine use (panning and finishing)
Hand screeding
Solid understanding of construction techniques and site safety
Experience with trowel machines and other relevant equipment
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Strong team player with the ability to work unsupervised

What You’ll Need
Trade qualified – Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter)

Ability to work safely & follow procedures
Good communication & teamwork skills
Forklift, High Risk, Working at Heights or Confined Space tickets will be highly regarded

What You’ll Do:
Cal-Tech employees get to use state-of the art calibration and diagnostic equipment on a day-to-day basis to perform ADAS front camera calibrations. This ensures the customers safety system is in perfect working order after a windscreen replacement.
You will perform a wide variety of tasks throughout the day. This ranges from diagnostic scans of vehicles to ensure customers ADAS is in working order before work is carried out to Static and Dynamic calibrations. Static calibrations involve precisely setting up calibration equipment to ensure proper alignment of the ADAS camera. Dynamic calibrations involve driving the vehicle on set routes to ensure the camera correctly references road markings and signage. Cal-tech employees also learn how to perform Chip-Repairs using O’Brien’s Advanced Repair Technology.
