About the Role

  • Fault find and perform rectification of GSE
  • Assist the development of written procedures for manufacturing components
  • Assist and coordinate the fabrication, assembly and integration of propulsion GSE
  • Support the design and testing of propulsion systems
  • Support launch preparations and launch operations, as needed

Mandatory Qual ifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with CAD designing parts and assemblies
  • Experience using commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package (ANSYS preferred or NASTRAN, ABAQUS, CFD codes, etc.)

Your Key Accountabilities:

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Liaise with clients, contractors (including building maintenance and emergency repairs), building occupants and members of the general public to deliver consistent high-quality security services.
  • Exercise functions and powers pursuant to Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, in addition to carrying out the procedures and instructions outlined within the Protective Services Quality Procedures, and site Building Manuals.
  • Review, develop and maintain procedures for general building security, and the safety of persons within the building, including controlling the entry of personnel to, and the parking of vehicles in State Buildings in accordance with Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000.
  • In accordance with Australian Standards 3745 and the Building Fire Regulations 2008 coordinate training and provide direction in emergency procedures and building safety programs, such as Occupant Emergency Program, including functioning as the Chief Warden.
  • Review functionality effectiveness and operate computerised systems including a Building Management and Security Access System to provide reports on electrical, mechanical, fire, lift and security systems to contractors, Property Managers and tenants as required.
  • Develop and maintain a close liaison with clients, Building Managers, other emergency service personnel including participating as a member of the Emergency Planning Committee.
  • Foster an equitable, fair and customer focused workplace by providing leadership, supervision and development to subordinate officers.
